I think Cummings missed a right sitter a few years back as well. A bad miss happens to the best of them especially on pitches as bad the one up in Ayr.

Can’t recall the poster that pretty much told us this word for word.
i don’t think wilson was a long term solution for us but I foot like the thought of us fucking around with players like that.

Think a fully fit and on form Lee Wallace at LB with John in front of him is something worth trying.
Means less pressure on Wallace to bomb forward and keeps us a bit tighter at the back.
I think Wallace enjoys the bombing forward

Even if he was playing half decent I don’t think Pedro will be around at Cruz Azul for much longer, 3 points of relegation zone

Charlie Adam is the last player I remember that came back from a loan and burst on the scene.
McCrorie came back from Dumbarton and has made a pretty good impact

It’s worked for 2 out of about 100
But it doesn’t? Based on every loan move at that level bar 2
maybe Aiden will be the exception to the rule but as I said I’d rather develop them ourselves than put them out to the dregs of Scottish football and hope that playing against other lowly teams makes them Rangers class
I don’t actually have loads of better alternatives but let’s not pretend this works either
On the flip side if he didn’t go on loan would he be in the first team or on the bench? Probably not.
Sadly it’s a slim chance that any of our lads will really “make it”. It’s why Chelsea buy so many youth hoping that one or two might make the grade and the others good enough to make a bit of a profit on.
McCrorie said that his loan to Dumbarton was the one that really made him feel more like a footballer, learned a lot and was ready to push for a place in our first team squad.
If it happens too often though it would appear the writing is on the wall e.g. Thompson, Hardie and Walsh being recent examples.

Sorry to hear about your gran.

good signing for Dumbarton but I’ve yet to be convinced what good these loan moves actually do for our players - id rather see them stay with the unders and play in the European programe
everyone always says “good move” in every thread about a youth getting loaned out but it never actually turns out to be a good move at all
It’s a good move because he’s playing first team football with and against men rather than with younger men/boys.
its good experience and it’s good for players to gain as much and as varied experiences as they can to put them in good stead for their careers.

https://Rangers.co.uk/news/academy-news/wilson-makes-sons-loan-move/
DEVELOPMENT Squad defender Aidan Wilson has joined Dumbarton on an Emergency Loan.
Wilson, a Scotland U19 International, has already featured three times for the Rangers first team.
He made his debut last May and featured most recently in the 2-1 win over Hibernian in December.
After featuring as an unused substitute again Fraserburgh last month he will now look to gain valuable first team experience in the Championship.
Decent move for him. Will certainly get tested with Dumbarton being 9th and unless we have an injury crisis of our own I doubt he’d have featured for us this term.

Really tragic for anyone to lose their life to such a horrible disease so early in life. RIP

Got some info from a vey good source....: Rangers have agreed new retail deal with Fanatics based in Manchester (formerly Kitbag). I believe they will run online retail and be responsible for producing product as well as store at the ground. They also currently run Man Utd, Man City, Everton and Aston Villa's online shop (and Celtics)Also F1 and Wimbledon tennis but Man Utd, celtic and Wimbledon moving away from them
also have it on good authority that Puma are reluctant to renew the kit deal(good news) and the club have an offer on the table from Admiral (bad news)
Is this before or after we go into admin again?

If Miller gets game time over Cummings I’d be absolutely fuming cartoon style

Fuck that, Candeias needs to play and Murphy whilst taking a bit of time to settle is our marquee signing and needs game time.
That’s my point, Murty won’t go with anything other than 4-2-3-1 so I suspect we’ll not see the best out of cummings

Impressed me last night with his hold up play and passing, didn’t think he had that in his locker. Need to find a way to have him, Windass and Morelos in the same team
It’s called a narrow 4-3-3.
Fod
Tav Bates Martin John
Holt Goss Docherty
Morelos Cummings Windass
Murty however won’t go for it as it leaves out Murphy and Candeias.

This thread highlights what a stupid decision it was last night to celebrate in that way.
8 pages of debate about his ability, his attitude etc. instead of the focus being on a really good run and finish at the end of a really good move from us.
It’s like Tav giving the ref on Saturday the opportunity to give a penalty Windass has given the supporters the chance to slate him.
He simply as to become a man. Take accountability for his actions good or bad.

He thinks he's a star but the reality is that playing in a series of truly awful Rangers teams will be as good as it gets for him.
Not good enough even for the Championship.
Never mind "Murts" will give him a hug tomorrow.
Nicholl needs to give him a boot square in the balls

All I can say is I’m glad there is someone like Nicholl in the mix because Murty seems too much of a mr nice guy.
I said before he’s perfectly suited for working with youths to help encourage and nurture players.
However, being a first team manager is a different ball game. The other thread on first half substitutions......Murty wouldn’t ever do that from what I can see. He doesn’t want to ruffle feathers and whilst doing it too much can cause problems you have to have that hardline at times i.e. if you don’t play well or follow my instructions I’ll sub you and/or drop you.
He should have realised from past games against Hibs to have a 3 man midfield meaning you play 4-3-3 or 3-5-2 but he either didn’t realise it, or thought we were too good for them regardless of our setup or he just didn’t want to tell Windass he was being dropped for Docherty due to the demands of the match. Whatever it was it’s a little worrying and I think if he wants the job on a full time basis he’s going to have to know when to put an arm round a player and when paste them to the wall.

When did Tav last score direct from a free-kick? Was it away to Killie?
Don't know how he went from being so lethal at free-kicks where he was odds on to score to being more likely to send it into the stands

Where’s the Norwich fan that posted the podcast with Russel Martin?
-
-
From what I can find on him he’s a left footed midfielder who normally plays left wing but can play no 10 or on the right

Fantastic news. Is dallas one that could make the step up? How old is he?
18 years old, as far as I knew he’s played up top, on the right and even at right back. My guess would be he won’t make the step-up if Hardie wasn’t able to.

Spot on.
We can’t look forward if we are always hampered by divisive stories like this.
That being said when they do retire we’ll get them linked as managers or coaches etc.
