If he is as good as everyone seems to think he is ie the best prospect for a number of years then £2k per week seems reasonable. Meanwhile if the rumours are correct Lee McCulloch is now on £17.5k per week. I would rather bin McCulloch and sign four or five young prospects at £2k a time which would be half the outlay of our over the hill captain.
-
Rangers need to tie him down into a three year contract asap. No need to be offering stupid money deals I think £2k a week should be sufficient for a young lad learning his trade. If he continues to flourish then the contract can be revisited in 18 months.

Got a lot of faith in McCall to get us promoted via the playoffs. That being said must win game tomorrow night no excuses of being less than a week in the job. Next Sunday will be the big one against Hibs need to get something from that game. All going well and we get promoted MacCall will be given a new contract and we will sign a few decent players. Top three place should be achieved in first season back to premier imo.

At last someone at the helm who can get us promotion this season. Should also get the best out of Law and drop the old guard who under perform week after week. The entertainment level on the pitch should also see a marked improvement. Starting to look forward to my football with some optimism again.

Season 2015/16
The Blue Sea of Ibrox 2000 replied to The Blue Sea of Ibrox 2000's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I never thought this through properly and I stand corrected of course the income streams necessary for us to progress are to be found in the premiership and not the championship. My thinking was along the lines of blooding younger players which would be a lot easier in the current league than the premiership. If we go with youth and they get pumped week after week what happens to morale and what happens to attendance figures? I think the answer lies in a mixture of both with promising youngsters playing alongside seasoned professionals. Going to change my cup from half empty to half full at the end of the day I just want whats best for Rangers and to start enjoying my football again! -
Season 2015/16

Ok I get it I am in the minority in this thread however I just feel that sometimes you need to take a step back in order for to take two steps forward. To be fair you and some of the other posters have made a valid point that the income streams are in the premiership and that's where we need to be. Roll on next Friday and lets get the healing process for our club started. -
As someone who loves my club with a passion it pains me greatly to say that I don't want us to get promoted at the end of this season. In reality I don't see us getting through the playoffs and any hope of catching Hearts died last night. The reason is that the idea of getting humped by septic four times next season is too much to stomach. Also the thought of fighting in a relegation battle at the end of next season fills me with dread. We have twelve players out of contract in less than three months and they are not good enough or Rangers class to offer them new contracts. Colours to the mast I am a big King supporter and dislike Ashley and his S.D. team with a vengeance. That being said I am not naive enough to think he can wave a magic wand and all our problems will disappear. The answer in my humble opinion is another season in the championship to allow us time to rebuild. By that I mean new young players, new manager, new scouting setup installed. Also most importantly a full forensic inspection in order to get control of our retail arm and take to task previous board members who did not act in the best interest of Rangers.

Sadly Missed . . .

Remember the minutes silence the first game at Ibrox after his death. Tears were running down my cheeks and looking around I was not the only bear shedding tears. -
Dislocated shoulder and is supposed to be back in full time training.

I am in no way a defender of the current board however in this instance I think they did the right thing in their response to the criticism received re the sectarian singing. By releasing this statement they are displaying a willingness to abide by rules and to avoid our club from being punished. Just my opinion but I feel they called this right.

If we play the same team that we put on the park against Hibs I would have a lot more confidence that we will get a win. Stevie Wonder could see that we had improved beyond recognition compared to previous games. Kenny McDowall just needs to have the balls to drop the old guard who have continually let us down.
