In America we build (often taxpayer funded, wtf) temples to our athletes and here in Seattle we have the absolutely stunning, contemporary Safeco and QWEST fields (baseball and American Football respectively) but your stadium is more akin to Fenway Park or Wrigley Field -- a timeless wonder. I like how they incorporated the more contemporary sunshade and rain cover with the rest of the stadium. The brick work is excellent. You guys have a lot of assets and the ascent back to the top should be steady imo.

Is Gedion going to play tmr or is he still with the US U-23 camp? -
Here Because Of The Quality Of Football
yankgedionfan replied to Bear_Spur's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
It's very pretty football no doubt. Or, as I've learned they say in Scotland "disrespectful!" -
As a Champions Cup FM manager I would never pull my 18 year old loanee racking up MOTM performances with Rangers (and developing those mental attributes!) back at the winter window. But hey, that's just me . Seriously tho if Gedion is playing well and helping to lead Rangers to both league and cup success I have no doubt Arsenal will extend the loan. IMO there's no reason to rush an 18 year old with yet another move or to try and push him out of a great scenario. Rangers try and play a high pressing, total football with Gedion at the fulcrum and that is just what Arsenal (and UMSNT fans) want. I cannot see a better scenario for Gedion then where he's guaranteed 90 minutes a week at least and playing the pivot man in front of 50k while playing for league and cup titles. I wish Gedion was good enough to step into an EPL 11 and start twice a week but he's not quite there yet. Let him continue to develop in what is looking like a wonderful situation at Rangers. Again, I can't say enough how much attention Rangers now have in the US soccer world. You guy are getting a lot of attention. Hell, with the UMSNT struggling there are calls to bring in Gedion NOW.

Hopefully Jurgen is fired before he's allowed to touch this kid.

Zelalem Named As One Of The Top 10 Teenagers In The World
yankgedionfan replied to Tumshie's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Gedion has plenty of skill he just doesn't run at people very often. Check some of Gedion's highlights from the U20 world cup he pulled off some audacious stuff, including a perfect robana that his team mate couldn't put away. -
Goals: Rangers 5 - 0 Raith Rovers
yankgedionfan replied to LeeWallaceRFC's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
That first goal is one you score on FIFA and just laugh because you can only do one time out of 50. What a curve. -
Wow, just saw the goals, fucking unreal some of them. Looked like a La Liga side playing a cup game against some minnows. Real class out there for you guys not just the loan kids.

Glad you guys are liking him. As I've said repeatedly he's already the most technically proficient player to put on the USMNT jersey. He's also probably of the most tactically advanced. He sees the field wonderfuly and has the ability to put the ball where he sees it and shrug off tackles with just the easiest little movements. Hard to believe this guy was playing Maryland travel soccer when Arsenal found him. Whatever else you think about Arsenal their scouting of youth is unreal. US youth club soccer isn't exactly a hot bed of world class prospects. In fact most of our best players at the moment (Dempsey, Altidore for example) didn't come through the club system and instead were found in parks or in Clint's case honed their game against Mexican immigrants. IMO, and this is through all sport, the truly elite and gifted make it seem effortless. Gedion does that.

Could be wrong but pretty sure the US U23 coach said Gedion would be available this weekend for Rangers and then out for the next one. Not sure, couldn't find the article but almost sure I read that a couple days ago. -
Stamp On Gedion By Queen Of The South Player.

Ha! You want me to talk baseball? I'm a White Sox fan. We suck. Luckily we can't get relegated. We have one of the worst offenses in all of MLB. The football equivalent would be Sunderland. Even when we win, it's not pretty. -

Wow, given you much money you guys certainly contribute to the FA in Scotland that is pretty awful in my opinion. Doesn't money talk? I don't see queen of the south drawing 50k for their games. Sad state of affairs if that is the case. Here I am getting involved in Rangers affairs 'cause of Gedion! -

Pretty obvious how frustrated the QOS players got once they went a man down and you guys were dominating. Most US sports leagues have an official whose job it is to go through the videos like this and dole out punishment. Maybe Rangers should send the tape to the league office? -
I don't pretend to know the first thing about this Law fellow but if he has a little more bite in the tackle couldn't you sit him behind Zelalem and tell Gedion to run at folks a bit more and not worry about getting caught in possesion? Gedion looked a bit tentative today IMO.

not sure how you can spin it negative I mean if you are developing these highly touted youngsters it only improves the status of your club. Yea you'd like to rely on your own academy but it's not like half the squad is loans. Seems the announcer is grasping at straws to find negatives. -

well if you push up that high all game eventually something like that will happen but I don't think the opposition have the skill to take advantage much. -
