  7. unfortunately until the RST rid themselves of one man who takes interest free loans then trash is where they will normally end up. A cracking statement but Rangers media could have said the same and had more of an effect-sad but true of the RST leadership

The Trust send a decent but perhaps mislead chap to a meeting along with a member who misrepresented funds on SPL league reconstruction -yet have you seen any real leadership?-yes Mr Smith has made soundbites about closing Lloyds accounts but words are easy-action speaks. Anyway at least they will have race nights and raise funds for ?? well raise funds for a jolly. Just to remind the brethern * The Rangers Supporters Trust was formed in 2003 by supporters of Rangers Football Club as a pressure group to pursue the clubs interests robustly, monitor media output relating to the club and to project the views of ordinary supporters to the management. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rangers_Supporters_Trust

  18. nothing paranoid about this Sectarianism rears its ugly head in front of UEFA boss Last Updated Nov 2010 By: PHIL - The Failed Journalist MICHEL PLATINI was the guest of honour at Celtic Park recently. However, his attendance at the Old Firm game may have unforeseen consequences. Throughout the match the visiting Rangers fans serenaded the UEFA president and the watching millions with the entire racist/sectarian song sheet for which the Ibrox club’s followers are now infamous. As well as singing the Famine Song (now designated a race hate crime by the highest court in Scotland) the visiting fans also, on several occasions, sang the Billy Boys. This song, which celebrates the 1920s Glasgow street gang founded by self-proclaimed fascist Billy Fullerton, was banned by UEFA in 2006 as discriminatory. The Ibrox club was fined then and, effectively put on probation. The Irish Post contacted UEFA last week to ask what opinion, if any, the UEFA president had of the repertoire of the visiting fans to Celtic Park. We were told that M. Platini had heard the singing, but did not recognise any of them. He was, we were told by a UEFA spokesperson, that he was aware of the issues around racism and sectarianism emanating from the Rangers support in the past. The UEFA spokesperson stated that the UEFA president fully supports the “zero tolerance” policy of UEFA towards racism and all manifestations of discriminatory chanting. The Irish Post also asked the UEFA spokesperson about the three Champions League matches involving Rangers. The three fixtures involving Manchester United at Old Trafford and Turkish club Bursanspor and Valencia at Ibrox have all been peppered with racist and sectarian chanting by the Rangers support. The UEFA spokesperson said that, so far, a disciplinary case had not been opened against the Ibrox club. He revealed that the match delegates were specifically briefed around the issues pertaining the Rangers supporters apropos racist and discriminatory chanting. Despite this pre-match briefing none of the three delegates had mentioned any discriminatory chanting in their match reports. This journalist expressed surprise at this, and asked the UEFA spokesperson for the nationalities of the match delegates. Although not disclosing that information, he revealed that the three match delegates were all from continental Europe and were not native English speakers. He conceded that they might have had difficult in detecting the discriminatory chanting that was occurring during the matches. Although a disciplinary case had, heretofore, not been opened against Rangers this could happen if additional or new evidence was supplied to UEFA about the three matches against United, Bursanspor or Valencia. * * * THE IRISH POST contacted exIreland republic of Ireland footballer Kieron Brady. Kieron now runs an organisation called Celebrate Identity, Challenge Intolerance (CICI), an equality-focused consultancy that aims to educate around the issues of equality and diversity. We put these questions to Kieron about Platini’s visit to Celtic Park. What do you think Michel Platini would have thought of the racism/sectarianism? “In retrospect I am certain he would have strongly disapproved, particularly given the zero tolerance approach UEFA have to both racial and religious intolerance. “It is worth noting that UEFA are powerless over domestic football and if individual national associations do not have any social responsibility initiatives in place that they place importance in, then it becomes evident that such intolerance has an immunity.” Is it good that the delegates have been briefed? Shouldn’t the delegates have enough fluency in English to be able to recognise discriminatory chanting? “It is, of course, positive if all UEFA delegates have an awareness of all forms of discriminatory expressions that they may witness. “If vocal prejudice and discrimination is foreseeable in any matches under UEFA jurisdiction then it would make sense to ensure that language barriers will not prove problematic.”
  19. to be fair-they haven't being doing much laughing this season but it is very unprofessional to show such bias but thats the taig for you.
