I do get the moneyball thing and the use of analytics. It's worked for Brentford and for Brighton in the English leagues, but I do feel your statistics are only as good as the information mined. It's a high risk system that could lower the talent pool considerably if we were to get it wrong, which is why I wouldn't want to take that risk (not at this relatively early stage in its use in football, although I believe it's successful in other sports).

You mean the Championship and Premiership playoff Luton Town? 🤔

I didn't want us to go for Beale either given his connections to the Gerrard era and his inexperience as a manager. I don't think that we should be a managerial training ground for anyone (even Ally and he served his time under one of the greatest ever Rangers). He's showing though that tactically he is adaptable and appears to be able to motivate players and play in the right way. It's still relatively early but for me the signs are encouraging.

Really pleased for Souttar in particular. He's had such a disjointed season with injuries and has been thrown back in at times when he probably wasn't ready for it. Showed yesterday that he is good enough to be a decent player for us.

I think the Japanese contingent may follow him out the door unless they recruit someone else familiar with the Asian market and culture. It's the big danger with going down that line, once change happens they potentially have another huge rebuild, so bring it on!

Its been a mental season in a lot of aspects. It's been a failure on the trophy front, but we could and probably will finish with over 90 points, which wins the league most seasons, so in that sense there shouldn't have been such pressure on Beale although I know any Rangers manager is judged (rightly) on trophies.

Loving the hurt today from them and the "it was a B team" narrative. Get it up every single one of them. We beat them with a weakened squad, a squad including players who have hardly had a kick this season. Matondo, McCrorie, Yilmaz, Souttar. That we beat them with a front two of Matondo and Sakala will be eating at them. Don't let them fool you, this game meant something to them. They thrive on rubbing salt into the wounds, on getting one up on us. They would have loved to have celebrated on our turf. Beale got the tactics, the personnel spot on, the fighting spirit back into the squad. It was a collective effort. It also showed a ruthless streak in Beale which i liked, and in Cantwell and Raskin an eye for the type of player we need at Ibrox.

As far as i'm aware if it hits the supporting arm it's not to be given as a penalty, although saying that i'd be wanting one if it was for us 🤣 -
So was the Motherwell penalty. You wonder what they actually see

I don't know about Mclean, but i'm assuming the poster we quoted has knowlege. Regardless of Mclean being one or not, Clancy certainly is and shouldn't be refereeing their games. -

I honestly find it mental that you can have referees who are open and known supporters of any club officiating in that club's games. -
I like that we're behind the scenes trying to get players in the door for the transfer window opening. Fingers crossed we get the majority of signings in early, get them integrated and by the start of the season we're already up and running.
