We've had the luxury of not feeling this way for what seems a very long time. We need to trust that Gio will have learned more from this tonight than our 1-0 win at home to Livi. It's still in our hands and we have the players to rescue it.

I agree with all of this, Balogun and Goldson work well together. Jack is our best midfielder. If we can get a tune out of diallo I'd have him and sakala as our wide men. Kent just doesn't do anything.

I thought young Lowry looked very comfortable on the ball tonight, bright future ahead. He and Leon King are the future, I really hope to see more of our youth come through to the first team. All in all it was a solid performance. A wee note on Brandon Barker, I know the guy is paid handsomely and there's the argument he should get the finger out or just fuck off, but he just looks like a guy who's confidence is completely shot to pieces, the number of times in that first half he checked back inside rather than take on the full back, painful to watch.

The combination of winter break cobwebs and a trip to the sheep, I just had a feeling that a stinking performance would follow..... We need to use Friday night to get back into our stride.

Thinking about today, that programme really showed us how we had two different versions of Walter, first time around he had all the financial backing and spent the money wisely and gave us some of the greatest years ever and some outstanding players. Second time he wheeled and dealed with a lot of Scottish players he new would give him everything they had to give, quite incredible that he took that team to a Euro Final.
