We need to tighten up in midfield and take control of the game again

This will be a tough game, we always seem to be slow starters through there in lunchtime games, hopefully that's not the case today. My gut instinct is telling me a very narrow win or a share of the points.

I've said it before, but the thought of Haaland against our defence is utterly terrifying, the guy would throw Goldson around like an empty tracksuit lol. That aside, given the importance of winning the league, I'd take the glamour tie over the "easiest' fixture and take our chances, it would also give an added buzz for the players over the next 2 months.

I'm not saying he'd be a starter every game, but I think if we bring back Katic, Souttar(or another) and Balogun would fight it out for that other centre back position.

This makes sense, especially as he will be free.

Players make mistakes on and off the field, if Gio has had a word with him about what he expects and Goldson delivers, then we move on from his daft comments.

There was definitely evidence of change last night, I still think Gio will need at least a month of training/games to get the players fully up to speed as to how his system/strategy works.

Absolutely agree, also we need to support the team no matter what and have the place rocking. I think Sunday shows Gio has a far bigger job on his hands than some of us thought, he's going to need our support in the coming weeks with a tough run of fixtures.

The way he's been playing we would have been as well just keeping itten, he'd have not been any worse.

For Christ sake I hope the fans are going to be patient with him, this today has shown just how much papering over the cracks have been done, he needs at least two windows to fully fix it. The main issue being moving players on.

I'm clinging on to the fact Gio has now seen us at our worst and is likely discussing with Ross Wilson just how he is going to fix it. The usual favourites are in trouble, that's for sure.

McCann will be an excellent appointment, speaks intelligently and has exceptional knowledge of the game, beyond what you might expect. It's more than possible his final delivery wasn't quite on point and that's why the management side hasn't worked out, but some guys are far better suited to being the no2. We all know this well enough having had the likes of Archie Knox in the past, any player will tell you he was an outstanding coach and motivator, but wasn't suited to the position of manager.
