I wouldn't mind seeing a defensive 3-5-2, keep men behind the ball and play for the counter attacks. We can definitely exploit their weak defence but we can't afford to leave ourselves wide open to do it. Keep the ball on the deck and stay tight at the back with Bruno man marking the thumb. Im still more confident going into this fixture than I was last season. They really are needing knocked off their perch.

He's overseen some of our worst defeats, as we all know. It's understandable that some on here maintain a cynical, if not realistic, stance on the manager. Personally, I'm in the 'give him time' camp. For no other reason than the fact that we are not in a position to appoint a new manager just now. The Pedro appointment was an important one for the club and the board made an arse of it imo. People who just come on and label Pedro as 'shite/clueless/honkin' etc annoy me because he has done a lot of work for the club. I think the squad does look much stronger this season and I think he done a good job in clearing the duds from the MW reign. The team is inconsistent, we haven't been able to string 3 consecutive wins together since PC came in and that's concerning. While we're on this pattern of results one week and dropping points the next, then we're going to have the 'flip flopping' dynamic on here. The support has been through a lot and quite rightly feel they're justified to start seeing evidence that the club is on its way back to full strength. The Pedro appointment and the subsequent disastrous results couldn't be less indicative of that.

Fucking torture, glimmers of hope one week then back to the bottle jobs the next.

Not fussed about big score lines, the results are first and foremost and keeping a fit squad for the minks. I'd like to see a full 90 minutes of Peña in one of these matches. Get it done boys.

What I've seen so far of Thistle has been dreadful, confident we'll take 3 points from this game.

Unless Peña is the long term replacement for Miller and will take his starting place when his fitness is up to it.

Don't even want to think about selling him, let's just enjoy having a prolific talent up front.

It's to Pedro's credit, the progress Tav and Windass are showing. He meant what he said about finding the players who wanted to play for the club, Windass and Tav obviously showed a willingness to work hard and help to take the club forward and now appear (to me at least) to be thriving in this new team. Although I've not agreed with the way he's handled the MOH situation, it showed his attitude towards players who he doesn't think fit the ethos of the team he wants to build. If nothing else it emphasises the passion PC has towards the winning with the club. Its a lot easier to type stuff like this on the back of a win, his tactics at times leave a lot to be desired but the way he's handled the squad since his appointment for me has been commendable.

Think Tav and Windass have improved a lot with these new signings to be fair. Whatever happens to Pedro, he'll always get credit from me for the signings he brought in.

Find it really hard to believe Pedro didn't at least know the gist of what MOH had been saying. Looked to me like he was just trivialising the matter by making it look like he wasn't aware about anything that had been said. I like how Pedro conducts himself for the most part during these press conferences, but I think the MOH affair has been handled poorly. If Pedro isn't happy with his contributions and wants him gone then fine, one thing I take confidence in is Pedro's judge of character for his players, but give the press as little as possible with it while we're trying to sell him.

Things I'd like to see on Saturday; 1. Herrera and Morelos starting together. 2. A convincing contribution from Pena if he's brought on. 3. More threatening play from Dorrans. 4. Wingers to cut in and create from outside the box instead of waiting on our FB's to overlap and cross. 5. Hunners of goals, for us.

Is there any update on Windass' availability? If possible I'd start him on the wing and use John as a sub if things are in our favour late on.

This topic was supposed to be about how happy we were going to be and now we're talking about how skint/shite we are. Lock the damn thing.

Who knows what's going to happen. We finished 3rd last season and the squad's a lot stronger now than it was then imo. Aberdeen, from what I've seen so far, have looked fortunate to have 6 of the points they have now. They honestly don't look organised at all at times and Stevie May has pulled them out of a hole more than once with some lovely strikes. Like I said, who knows. But I'm confident that it will be a decent inprovement from the last campaign and it will be another's step closer to knocking them off their fucking perch.
