  1. The form at home has killed us this season. Every time the tarriers have dropped points we've failed to take advantage. The best example was when they lost to Killie. A couple of hours later we go and lose to Hibs at home. 7 loses at home is completely unacceptable. What's worse is these results were avoidable with the right changes. I've seen a lot on here saying Clarke doesn't want the job and has made comments saying such. But no manager is going to admit interest until there is an official approach on the table.
  2. Clarke is who I would go for. In the same period of time murty has been in charge he's taken more points, with a squad who were bottom of the league before he got there. The turn around has been impressive. If given the job he would make us hard to beat first and foremost. This was the first steps Walter took in his 2nd spell. We've shown goals aren't an issue with this squad it's getting the back shored up.
  3. Best Player - Tav Worst Player - Between herrera and pena. Fav player - Candeias & Murphy Least Fav - Pena Overrated - Foderingham Underrated - Bates
  4. This board is guilty of dereliction of duty. It came out Allen had a shortlist of managers within 2 days of sacking Pedro. This board lack of action during this point is a disgrace. When Murty was given the job after the McInnes fiasco it was the board writing off another season. It's frustrating as hell because there was a real chance with a proper manager to challenge for the title. Where are these fan groups right now like club 1872. One of the last straws for the ashley board was appointing mcdowell. Yet they have sat back quietly while King and Co do the same thing.
  5. It's a utter shambles this board has left us in. I honestly thought it couldn't get worse than last season. We started this season with a manager who shouldn't have been anywhere near the job and we'll finish the season with another manager who shouldn't have been near. Honestly only feel dread looking at the upcoming games. Murty has shown if we don't start these games well he doesn't have the ability to change it.
  6. His record alone should be enough not to get him the job. In his last 2 years of management he's won 9 games out of 57. But his attitude as well is horrific. Reading some of the stories that have come out when he got sacked yesterday, his treatment of players especially young talent is shocking. He also has a disciplinary record a mile long. The guy's a real piece of work and it would be an embarrassment to have him mentioned as a Rangers manager. We don't need any more embarrassment
  7. King will have final approval on the next manager as he's got the majority. I just hope Allan has big involvement, as ideally he'll had a experienced manager lined up. The clowns on the board who recruited Pedro should have no input. I fully expect Murty to be in charge until the end of the season regardless. If they do announce a new manager to boost season ticket renewals, expect he won't start until the summer.
  8. Read that comment yesterday. I always thought the guy was an arrogant wank. This just confirmed it. Someone like this should be no where near Ibrox.
  9. I wouldn't be surprised to see an announcement of a new manager before the renewal. But it will likely be with the provision he doesn't take over until the summer leaving Murty in till season end.
  10. We can only hope that Allan has big involvement on the next manager. If it is the same clowns who picked Pedro. It scares the hell out of me who they would pick next.
  11. It is our board's complete incompetence that's left us in this situation. First by appointing Pedro and then messing up the hunt for a replacement. Murty is just a scapegoat being used by the board to deflect from there failings. King and Co surely know boycotts are just round the corner, if they don't fix this situation and get an experienced manager in with the budget to really challenge for the title.
  12. Even a Scottish cup win shouldn't be enough to keep Murty in the job now. But it would not surprise if the board did use this to justify keeping Murty for another season. It should be purely based on his league form and it's no where near good enough. He's overseen the worst run at ibrox since 1915. His inexperience and inability to make vital changes have cost too many points. I would only expect to see more of the same if he's left in charge.
  13. Yeah that's the key issue. We have no idea if this board has the funds to get a quailty manager and provide a decent transfer budget.
  14. If the right person is availale now then yes we should go for it. But it comes with the risk that if a new manager loses the next 2 x old firms he'll already be under pressure.
  15. Any manager we take on is going to be a gamble. But I can see why people want MPH and I don't think he's as big a gamble as others mentiond. His CV is impressive winning trophies at every club he's managed. The club's he's taken over were struggling for years before he turned them round. Just because Pedro and PLG failed doesnt mean we should rule out another foreign coach.
  16. The only concern with appointing someone now is we limit the options. It's unlikely any decent manager will come in now with 7 games to go. They'll want to come in the summer with a fresh start. The board likely know this which is why murty will get the season. I agree but this is the last chance this board is going to get. If they appoint another terrible manager they will be forced out just like the Ashley board.
  17. Pardew would crack under the pressure and it would be yet another circus we don't need. While he has experience his recent record is truly awful. Guys like Brenda and Clarke have come up here with sackings and loses on their CV sure. But even their records weren't nearly as bad as pardew. Pardew managed only 6 wins in 36 games in 2016 at Crystal palace. He leaves West Brom with 3 wins in 21 games. In the last 2 years he's won 9 games out of 57.
  18. I agree we have to have a bit of realism with regards to who we can get in these days. If recruiting a manager from England, it is likely to be someone who's taken a hit to there reputation and out of work. While pardew has had some success in his cv down south. 5th with newcastle and fa cup final. The guy has a horrible behaviour record which should rule him out. This includes yelling abuse at other managers, shoving officials and sticking the nut onto a player. I can't see him not cracking up again when your going to be constantly scrutinised and wound up by the opposition and the press here.
  19. I knew I shouldn't have mentioned that ?
  20. At palace in 2016 he only managed to get 6 wins from 36 matches. He leaves West Brom without a win in 10 games. This is also a guy who headbutted a player and pushed an official.
  21. I wouldn't go near pardew myself. His recent record is awful and he's very arrogant and hard to like as a person. At palace in 2016 he only managed to get 6 wins from 36 matches. He leaves West Brom without a win in 10 games. This is also a guy who headbutted a player and pushed an official.
  22. It's a no from me. His record is awful and he's very arrogant and hard to like as a person. It's hard to belive he keeps walking into premiership jobs.
  23. Exactly. Yet the Scottish press has turned this into articles with headlines saying Clarke rules out Rangers job.
  24. Since that demebele goal at ibrox. This sqaud has checked out. The lack of desire and passion is shocking. We could slip to 4th if we don't turn it round. Both the sheep and hibs aren't far off. Murty won't be hear next season any chance he did have has been blown.
