Understandable given what he was subjected to when he was here, but I think he is a far more rounded and mature individual than he was when he was last here and is doing a fairly decent job where he is.

Thought it was only me who had suggested him and I agree there is no chance, but why is it any more ridiculous than some of the other ‘Scottish’ names being suggested?

Think Villa are shopping in a different market place for players unless they identify exceptional talent or unfortunately, a bargain. That is my biggest worry- he who should not be named will be fully aware of what our bottom line is for players, and whilst last week I would have bet my house on him not looking to shaft us, this week I am not so sure

Don’t disagree- I am really disappointed in the manner of his leaving as I thought he had a bit more class than that. However, and I am I trying to look for a positive here, had he stayed, fucked up the next two games and then let them get with in touching distance before Christmas- a credible scenario given how we have been playing this season- then there would be plenty calling on him to get to fuck. If we get GVB in quickly that will hopefully give a lift to the team and their performances, and in a roundabout way Gerrard - unwillingly- will have improved us

TBF - if we get GVB in quickly, he is far from shafting us, I think he will enhance us. Still shite timing tho

Surely just for Gerrard- would expect at least double that when all the backroom staff are accounted for

With the add on that his loyalty to St Johnstone means he wont join us until the summer and Murty will step up as caretaker in the mean time
