At the start of June I fully expected that we would lose Morelos- if we don't sell him, that is equivalent to a £30m + on our first team sheet- we won't get a better marquee signing than that

Whilst we would all like a marquee signing (Kent fits that bill for me, even if a loan for a further season) I think no one will disagree that we start this season in a far stronger position than last year. Add to that Kilmarnock , Hibs and Motherwell will start in a far weaker position, and septic are having to sell their best players to keep the lights on - maybe ahead of some big legal bills they are expecting. We on the other hand have improved our team and are now effectively debt free. Personally trust DK to manage the financials and SG to manage the performance on our way to 55 this year

I think the important thing is that they were never winning the game in December- we actually demolished them in that game. When was the last time we could say that? I also believe we are not far away- in touching distance of 55- and they are going into melt down

The squad is just not good enough full stop. Gerrard knows that as well, hence the promise of 'marquee signings' in the summer. I still believe we will get there next year if he gets the backing he is asking for from the board

This- whether we like it or not it was always going to be a big ask to win the league this season. The problem I believe is that the Manager gave us a bit of belief both in Europe and with the win over the tarriers. If - and I know it is a big if- we win the cup and beat them again at Ibrox, I will consider this a successful season, compared to what we have put up with in previous years. If not, I think Gerrard needs to be given time - at least two full seasons- to get it right. I believe he will.

For the past 15 years, I've spent a lot of time in the South of Spain. Very rarely, if ever, have I seen Rangers mentioned in the Spanish papers. Since the summer, 'Steven Gerrard's Rangers' are a very regular feature. You cannot buy the kudos his appointment is giving us across the world. That's not because he is the Rangers manager, it's because of the world wide reputation he brought with him. So if mentioning Liverpool at the same time Rangers gets up this kind of publicity, bring it on.

I think our manager has been inspirational, but I genuinely thought this would need to be a longer term project than its turning out to be. In August I would have given my right baw Iif somebody had told me that at the start of December we would be sitting top of the league and one game away from the knock out stages in Europe . Still a way to go, but the smile won't come off my face for many days- looking forward to going into work on Monday for the first time in a long time

This is not Planning Permission or Listed Builing Consent- in reality this is no more than a technicality to ensure that any work complies with guidelines and legal responsibilities- don't think even GCC could interfere..........

I can't see the logic of selling our best player (imo) and using the money to buy two or three poorer quality ones- I know it's a big ask after the last two games but I still believe that our manager should be given the chance to build a team around our better players
