Seems we are in the 3rd pot.

Could sneak into pot 2 if were very lucky

Do Celtic have two qualifying games? Says on the sun site ... Celtic will be seeded in the third round, but if they get through they will be unseeded and could face Arsenal, Lyon or Stuttgart.

It's quite random how we've managed to make the 3rd pot, if 3 teams out of Arsenal, Shaktar, Lyon and Sporting Lisbon don't qualify we make 2nd pot. I can't see that happening but a 3rd pot place is certainly a boost.

The eight group-winners and eight runners-up of the group stage qualify for the second round. The clubs that finish this stage in third position in their group move into the third round of the current Europa League. The clubs that finish this stage in fourth position in their group are eliminated.

The draw for the 2nd round takes the following rules into account:

a) Clubs from the same association must not be drawn against each other,

b) The winners and runners-up of the same group must not be drawn against each other,

c) The group winners must not be drawn against each other,

d) The runners up must not be drawn against each other,

e) The runners up must play the first leg at home.

The group winners are seeded above the runners-up.

So basicly we get a team from pot one (50/50 chance of an english team) a pot two team, and a pot 4 as we are in pot 3.

How ever if 3 of these teams lose (Arsenal lyon sporting or donetsk*) we would move up a pot which would be a very big advantage for us, as we wouldnt be able to get a team like madrid, inter, porto etc. but this is very unlikely to happen. but you have to be in it to win it so get yer passports out :D

4 pots ... Each group is made up of one team from each pot

i would have said Barca, Inter and Wolfsburg

see i would see that as an advantage as everyone would be taking points off each other meaning we might only need a win and a few draws to get through

and almost everyone would be taking points off us alot

i would rather have the easiest way through and get to the last 16 which brings alot more money
