smith should use these as a training tool for either the young players or the first teamers who are returning from injury

as much as id like to see us win the treble, wining the league is a first, and giving the "mature" players a wee break now and again from these competitions could be whats required

can't a agree with any of that, all games should be played with the strongest possible team, aiming to complete the treble once again, closed door friendlies should be used to bring on younsters

I know why your suggesting that theory mate but I couldnt endorse it. Us basically sacrificing winning any trophies more or less hands them to RAceltic, and I just couldnt stomach that.

We are the famous Rangers and the worlds most successful club, because we win more than anyone else. Let the legend continue.

play our young guns and let septic get a better chance of challenging us for the treble?

no chance

if they are good enough play them in ANY competition like ANY other club.

its down to walter and if he thinks they are good enough or not.

MOST are not good enough, thats our problem.

This kind of thread has been done so many times.

Don't want to see us throw away either domestic cup, if the youngsters are good enough they should be breaking into the first team in any competition.

aye but too be good enough they nee to play first team games, giving them one or 2 league games over a season isnt gonna help

so if smith gives them a run in the first team, and we drop points, him and the youngsters will get slaughtered

why not play them in the cup competitions that probably cost the club more in travelling, bonuses, appearance fees etc than we get for winning the things

No, to be good enough they impress in under 19/reserve games and in training.

If he plays them in the cup, we lose then he still gets slaughtered for playing youngsters.

It's a no win situation.
