McBoyd 355 Posted October 4, 2009 Share Posted October 4, 2009 The guy at Toffs did ask me, i told him that the shading of the 'grey' on the star looked lighter blue, like the colour photo i made of the 1877 top, but he said he'd sourced somewhere that said it was a darker blue, i'll maybe pop an email over and ask where he got that from. I guess it's hard to say with the shades because the photo is so old, it may have faded. Looking at it now, if you look at the contrast difference between Vallances Lion Rampant and their stars, on the black and white photo above, it most likely can't be a dark blue there is such a difference.. Also.. I did send him the email of the owner of the Clyde Amateur Rowing Club, and this picture (the oar) to show the colour of the star on their oars..
