Weiss Out

Recommended Posts

Walter Smith has confirmed that two of his Rangers first team squad will not return to action in the 2010/11 season.

Vladimir Weiss, on loan from Manchester City, and Kirk Broadfoot have both been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign with injury.

Weiss played on during March with a foot injury but a visit to see a specialist this week has seen the Slovakian’s spell with the club brought to a premature end.

Broadfoot meanwhile has been absent since the defeat to Manchester United in the Champions League on November 24 last year.

The defender recently returned to training after recovering from a separate injury but has now been sidelined by a heel injury.

“It will be next season before Vladimir comes back,” Smith confirmed after his team’s 1-0 win over Aberdeen on Wednesday night.

By the sounds of this on stv news he will be back nex season fingers crossed eh.
