BlueAndWhite 37
Imagine Dalglish hadn't been so stubborn in buying British. If they had bought Llorente instead of Carroll, Mata instead of Downing and Banega instead of Henderson.
Clemdog 39,389
Never understood his thinking, especially considering midfield was by far their strongest area.Liverpool have for too long missed Alonso, he was the key player who made them tick. They badly need to replace him and Banega would have been an adequate signing. It's madness. I simply do not understand it. They have really really missed Alonso like you say, trying to replace him with Adam/Henderson is I think 'Kenny' will flop and his signings will be seen as flops also. Due mostly to the pricetag. simplythebest 11,453
If Kenny gets them into the top 4 then he's done a good job, but I don't see how even Liverpool fans themselves could deny he gets an easier ride than someone like Hodgson because of his status with the club. West Brom playing them next week incidently.
THFC6061 4
A win for Spurs today at Blackburn (certainly not a foregone conclusion) will put us in fifth place in the table, a point above Liverpool with an extra game in hand.Despite all the hype, Kenny Dalglish's record during his latest spell at Anfield is little better than that achieved by Roy Hodgeson. And the tens of millions of pounds they've spent on very ordinary players recently simply beggars belief.
