I think everyone is at the moment. The wee mono-brow that Hearts and Celtic are after is Romanian, isn't he?

There's been a bit of talk that Eastern Europe is the last place left where bargains can be found.

this what we need to be doing. Getting players when they are young and cheaper. We are never going to have huge sums of money so what we need to be doing is getting young players in and then selling them on for a profit in a few years time. Look at celtic with boruc. Signed him for around ?1m and he wasnt that well known now they are talking of wanting ?5m for him. Thats what we need to do to make some money. Then we can invest that money in more experienced players. There are plenty of good players in eastern europe that dont come with massive price tags. Even that guy dica we have been linked to, with his goalscoring record if he was playing at a spanish or french club they would be looking for more than double what we have apparently offered.

I really can't see us getting Dica on the cheap.........he is real class! If we have noticed him then I'm sure lots of others have too, including some who can pay a lot more than we can.

According to reports, Marius Alexi is causing quite a stir.

The 17-year-old Dinamo Bucharest striker has already played first-team football but could be up for grabs.

The youngster has had a trial with Rangers, along with another teenage sensation: Lucian Filip.

Barcelona are also thought to be interested.
