King is still in talks with Spurs over a new contract, so that list might be a bit out.

Also Say's Man Utd released Paul Scholes bit strange considering he's just signed a contract extension till the end of next season. Probably Mark Daly that made the list up.

Not at all, Clearly we are not going to sign the likes of Drogba and co, but those released from the lower EPL club could still put in a good shift for Rangers. The likes of Rodallega, Cuellar, Gardner and more could still help us towards to a successful season next year.

Oh dear.

Take a look at the general calibre of our signings over the past few seasons (Jelavic apart), then factor in the fact we are currently in administration and needing to cut our costs by £10m per season just to break even.

Slightly off topic, but i see grant holts said he's leaving norwich. What a signing he'd have been.

Our bid for Holt was much like our bid for Claudio Pizarro under Murray before he joined Chelsea. A low bid with no intention of following through on, just to give the fans and papers something to talk about.

Rangers have been on the brink of possible liquidation for months, we should be thankful that our club will actually exist after the damage that has been done by certain individuals.

Whatever the outcome of the CVA, the next 3 or 4 years are going to be extremely tough for us and I'm not sure a lot of fans understand that.

A lot of fans won't be ready for this, judging by the OP, considering he's talking about players that would command several times the salary we will be able to offer.

On the other than though, given how quickly things can turn in the SPL, don't be surprised if we are title winners again before not to soon. Celtic have a shite team and an even worse manager and it takes very little to win the SPL.

Our main problem is how the hell we can ever become regular Champions league group stage competitors, the bare minimum we should be competing in, and basically what we need in order to become a successful and afluent football club.

The champions of Scotland should always be competing in the group stages as the winners qualifying round should not hold ant fear to us be that going through 1 pre qualifying round or 3.

When you look at it no team we could face could come close to our earnings.

Celtic are decent but they are certainly nowhere remotely near as good as they think they are.

Time and time again they have bottled it in semi-finals and finals, as well as the infamous trip to Inverness.

They have done very little in Europe in recent times and that will continue.

I would let those bastards win four titles in a row as long as our beautiful club gets back on its feet.

I think you need to open your eyes to the descent of Scottish football into irrelevance. "No team we could face could come close to our earnings"? As things stand Rangers is losing circa £10 million a year.

Regardless, McCoist still identified him as a player hed want, and under different circumstances we may well have got him, he was certainly interested in coming. He would have been a fantastic signing.
