El Carpintero 546
RANGERS have completed a deal for Greek defender Anestis Argyriou and the 24-year-old is set to go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s game at Berwick. The former under-21 international has spent the last two weeks on trial at Murray Park after becoming a free agent in the summer. He has done enough to convince Ally McCoist that he is worthy of a contract and he has successfully completed a medical and signed a two-year contract.International clearance has come through for Argyriou so he is free to be involved in the third league match of the season if McCoist wants him.Argyriou can play at centre back or a right back. He spent the last two seasons with AEK Athens were he made 11 league appearances and previously played for Panathinaikos. He has seven under-21 caps. The Greek defender becomes the seventh capture following the signings of Ian Black, Dean Shiels, Fran Sandaza, Emilson, Kevin Kyle and Sebastien Faure. From our official website. Where did we play him in his debut?
