To correct everyone, there was 90000 inside and we absolutely destroyed what was to become the core of the World cup winners in 74. There was only ever going to be one winner that night and to see Beckenbauer, IMO the finest defender in the world at the time resort to booting Colin Stein was brilliant but sad as well. The atmosphere that night is the best I have ever experienced in my life and we were always going to win. The Derry shed where we always stood was absolutely bouncing. To top it all off the manky mob lost out on penalties and with their game starting 30minutes after ours and I swear to God I thought the Kingston Bridge was going to fall down with the celebrations on the buses.
