tommy2212 151 Posted May 1, 2008 Share Posted May 1, 2008 Personally think its long over due, those qualifiers can be dodgy at the best of times - dont where our ranking s in europe but no doubt queen of the south will bring it down next year - hopefully the sfa will sort this out soon and give the extra european place to the league where it belongs. As for QofS, they deserve their moment of glory that is what these cup competitions are for, and should the unthinkable happen and they actually lift the Scottish Cup are people going to say they're still not entitled to play in Europe because they're a first division club??? It should not be given to the fourth placed team in the SPL as that team has did nothing, if they can't get to the final of a cup or be good enough to finish in the top 3 of the SPL then they don't deserve to be awarded a place in Europe where they can't even gaurantee qualification from the qualifying rounds. I agree but with the exception of Aberdeen this season QotS can hardly do much worse than the other non Old Firm teams over the years, as they have barely contributed anything.
