Boab 73
Portuguese football authorities have deducted six points from FC Porto for attempting to fix league matches. The league's disciplinary committee also relegated Boavista to the second division and deducted three points from Leiria after the investigation into corruption during the 2003-04 season. Four referees have been suspended for up to six years for their part in the affair. The committee said Porto tried to bribe referees in two matches when it won the title that season. The points deduction won't prevent Porto winning their third consecutive league title in Sunday's final round. Porto lie 20 points ahead of their nearest rival. http://www.worldsoccer.com/news/porto_puni...94.html?aff=rss

Skol 401
Am I missing something? 6 points? They should be fucking relegated Brilliant. 3 points fine for every match you get caught trying to fix. I can't believe a team can win any league in which it has just been found guilty of match-fixing! Do you realise what this means? There are football officials more inept and incompetent than those that run the SPL!
