Any of you connect to a wireless network regularly for your internet connection? I mean, as opposed to using a regular internet provider. Pros? Cons? Decided to try out my AirPort tonight & its connected to... whoever it is

Its ilegal but if you dont get caught its down to the people who havnt put a password on it.

Peeps were getting caught and charged for driving around sitting outside peoples houses a while back i read , but its a grey area never heard of anyone going to court over it.

Just dont ripp the ass out of the connection or youll find it has a password on it pretty quick.

It's now illegal with a heavy fine and being banned from having internet, the wee guy downstairs from me was downloading 20G a month off mine. Was playing BF2 and then my ping went through the roof, happened every night about 10. So i checked to see who was connected and it came up with his PC name(which was his name). Phoned my ISP, who contacted the authorities and was fined £360 and also got a smug grin from me

Need to watch out though so one could get kiddie porn from you and youd have to prove it wasnt you on another pc.

Get a password on not hard to do.

Yeah it had a password but had virus and it took it off. Stopped using AVG because of it.

People have even been arrested by using a wireless laptop outside a coffee shop and using their connection...

Most ow have a password which you can get off the establishment for a fee I think.
