Did they have a Ford Capri in the Professionals?

aye, a white one.

It's a cool program then.

I'm thinking there was a program similar to the Professionals though - same idea of cops chasing guys around with a lot of car chases. What could it be?

They had 3. An Escort RS2000 was used in a couple of episodes and they had a few scary moments in a Rover 3500. Mostly it was the Capri's...

Yeah both Bodi and Doyle eventually ended up have their very own Capris and I think it was our very own Gordon Jackson aka Cowley had the Rover/Ford Granada (I think) - an he often liked his little tipple of fire water!

The Sweeny, per chance ?

That's exactly the program I was thinking of.

Which was better?

One of them must have been a knock-off of the other.

<google info> - Sweeney ran from 1975-1978

Professionals ran from 1977-1983 </google info>

I must admit I was more of a Sweeney man myself John Thaw (as Regan) one of the best character actors on British TV and the king of sidekicks Dennis Waterman (Carter) who later played Terry McCann in Minder alongside the legendary George Cole as Arthur Daly ... Excellent (tu) (spl)

Ford Capri's, joke of a car with a live rear axle, handled like a tractor.

We get opinions on the strangest things on RM  Live back axle  I always thought they were an exciting car to drive although in all honesty I only drove my cousins Capri a couple of times, and at 19 years old I thought I was one of the Professionals
