nvager 498
Seriously. Two points now behind Celtic and back in the game big time. Gave Fleck a run out yesterday - a START! - and he did not disappoint. Well done Walter. Take your courage in your hands and give Aaron his chance out wide and retain Fleck on the left and move Davis inside with Mendes and drop/rest Barry. Now take a deep breath and drop Miller and play Naismith up front with Boyd and keep Novo as a sub. Young legs and plenty of experience on the bench. A faster more upscale team. Players who can actually beat players too. Sound good Walter? Go for it!

djness 0
Excellent choice of words, let's use this to improve our clubs chances of winning the league. Yes brothers, let's "rest" Barry, not drop him. REST.

ScotBear 144
His team selection against Aberdeen is going to be hugely significant. If we had an experienced player performing to a good level just now at left midfield, you could perhaps understand Fleck moving aside for the game at Pittodrie. But we don't. So if he's dropped for the likes of Adam or McCulloch, another chunk of the confidence I have in Walter Smith as our manager will be ripped away. Huge game for Boyd also. It's been said that he's struggled in big games. He was poor in the 2-1 defeat at Tynecastle, he was poor against Celtic.....and Pittodrie is the next big one, where he was woeful earlier in the season. He's got to show more in these games. He will start this one, so I desperately hope he bags a goal and puts in the team performance we need from him.....and that doesn't just mean hard graft. I would play the same team with Whittaker in at LB
simplythebest 11,453
I still have suspicions about why Fleck started. Obviously it was a good choice but my thread yesterday shows what i thought of his tactics.
