Hamilton are 7th but have more points than Dundee who are 6th Hypothetically, if the league was tight between 7 teams and 7th place ends up finishing with more points than the team in 1st... rossDas 1,071 Posted May 17, 2015 Share Posted May 17, 2015 I've never ever understood what the split is for.Possibly in order to accommodate 12 teams playing each other four times (mostly) without having to play the whole 44 matches. My guess is they needed to freshen up the product without losing revenue from old firm games so opted for this mess instead of having a larger pot of teams playing each other twice.
