  1. Pics today have Rossiter and Dorrans both in training
  2. I never intended this to be a Murty slagging thread, a bit naive to be honest. I'm looking more at what Kirkwood has done, I think everyone would agree done a decent job with the youths. i would assume there will have to be a revamp of the youths to accommodate Murty, I Just don't know how as both the 21s 18s doing so well.
  3. I know the board like Murty as a person and has stepped up to the plate twice, but how are the going to manage this cluserfuck. The 21s team seem like they are better and developing more under Kirkwood than they did Murty, probably will have more respect for Kirkwood aswell. Will Kirkwood have to step a side for Murty or will they work together. The youth department have come on since Mulholland took over, hope he chooses what's right for the future progress of our youngsters.
  4. Still doesn't answer the question, who would you realistically keep before those 2 or 3 or would you realistically replace everyone
  5. What hype, some of us see with a bit of luck and hardwork these 2 youngsters could have a good future with us. I haven't seen anyone comparing them to Kante for fuck sake or De Bruyne. We all know one needs to work on his first touch and the other needs to get run of games without getting injured. I'd rather keep those 2 and Morelos , same age and attributes but need works than the rest of the squad. I will say this again we can't get rid of every player. Can you name any of the squad you would keep before them.
  6. Who said superstars, if you think they 3 are shit fair enough, I on the other hand can see two young guys in rossiter and mcrorie that have qualities that Gerrard can harness. They have fight, drive, and attitude and won't be bullied something that is missing from the vast majority of our squad. I'm not so keen on Jack but I think he can do a job at rb and cdm.
  7. I'm not saying there perfect but we need to spend wisely, but a new back 4 is a must. The three of them have not even played together yet you are righting them off. You're living in fantasy land if we can replace the whole squad. I would get a new midfielder in but an attacking one. i would like us to get rid most of them but is might take a couple of seasons to do so, and the defence has to be sorted first. WE have defenders than can't defend

    Tav

I like Tav, does some really good things in games, but the way he lets a man get to the bye line so easy is criminal. He did exactly the same in the old firm game.
  9. We know we have been week in midfield but mcrorie when played there has been a positive and rossiter has potential, if fit can be too. We have three players who could do a job with those 2, with Jack also an option. We have been very unlucky that not one of them has been available all season let alone 2. We don't have a limitless pot of money and I would rather spend it on the defence than replacing those 3. I'd rather be realistic instead of talking like shite that we can replace the lot of them.
  10. Rossiter and McCrorie in midfield for me and spend the money on our defence, shockingly bad
  11. Can’t let K.A.I in this thread, he will just put a downer on it. Played well considering his first team game since August
  12. Our systems to allow the whole front 3 needs changing, I would play candelas and Murphy to play a further 10'yards forward and 10 yards more in field when in possession, closer to Morelos. We rely to much on Morelos winning the first ball and holding it until support comes, but there too far apart to win any second balls or Morelos to feed quicks balls to supporting players. Our fullbacks are more than capable of bringing the width. You often see on both sides of the pitch, our fullbacks and widemen within 2 yards of each other doing slow one twos. I think then you might see the likes of Murphy being more influential in games
  13. I'm sure Tav was marking Berra, took his eye off Berra just before to tell a teammate to pick up another hearts player.
  14. I personally would like Cardosa over Martin in the team but it would be unfair to do that to him again. You can't expect the boy to be thrown into a big game after not getting a chance for weeks. Ends of him taking the flak for any little mistake.. I'm sure Martin bottled it a bit from the Lafferty effort, a big centre hamlf shouldn't do that
  15. They all played together in the Ayr game, all scoring goals, with us scoring 6 that game. I thought they all played really well with them all interchanging and linking up, looked really fluid. This was during the purple patch we were on. I know the opposition weren't up to much but we looked far more balanced than we are now with Morelos totally isolated upfront on his own. I'm just wondering why Murty never tried it again, and fed up reading how Cummings and Morelos couldn't play together.
  16. Did u not read the first line, WITH WINDASS OUT "injured" with my tactic, Morelos doesn't have to do all the donkey work, he would be closer to the midfield, plus he has an option ahead of him to, he would be far better in that role. Put it this way, let Cummings be the Boyd of the team and Morelos doing the Miller role when they played together.
  17. I would like to see a change of position of the front two. With windass out, I would like Morelos playing in the hole behind Cummings. Now I am not saying Cummings to be the hold up man, just let him be the penalty box player he is,. I do feel Morelos gets isolated at times. Morelos can hold the ball up and create, but just a big erratic in front of goal. By doing this I think we would far more cohesive attacking, someone who can link the midfield and give them time to support the front players, something Miller and windass can't do. It just means playing shorter passes to the wee man, which is no bad thing plus he has more of a dig than those too defensively. Anyone agree with this.
  18. Way too early to make a judgement on the boy, he has hardly ever got a run in he team. Has Hardie ever be given the chances of say Windass who did fuck all for 15 months then boom. I would easily given Hardie a two year deal, loan him out to an spl next season like The other lot have done with Christie to Aberdeen. The boy certainly knows where the goals is given the service and space required.
  19. His performances so far have been underwhelming to me , rather see Cardosa back in the team at least until Alves gets back.
  20. I m not sure Allen is the right man given our boards ineptitude, but 4 months is not long enough to determine this. i just feel that our managers have had far too much free reign and very little into long term planning. I remember the debacle of Kaunas, what did we go do, went on stupid transfer spree for short term results ending us long term sold for a pound. I still can't forgive Walter for that one. We have to be smarter. Walter's excuse at the time, was he was giving the money so why not spend it, he only had eyes on the result on the field not the long term harm it could do. Our club needs to be run within a set or parameters, too much damage has and is still being done, will we ever learn lessons from what has happened in the last decade..
  21. Dorrans, Cardosa, were big highlights too. Every one raved about Pena's ability if we could recreate his old form, a bit like the Krancjar signing, maybe if we had a director of football , might of realised once bitten, twice shy on that one. everyone thought candelas would be a decent steady player along with jack. Dacio and Herrera were only the two were people were a bit meh.
  22. I remember the euphoria on here at the time, the vast majority of fans were happy with the signings. I am not a glass half full guy, I'm sick fed up of the way our club is run I have had this opinion since the flo transfer, maybe if we have say a general manager or director of football, who is allowed to do his job fully then we can be run properly. We can't rely on the first team manager to manage the running of the club, their job should be results on the field first and foremost. The board are not there to run all the footballing side of the club, we need someone to link each department together along and report to the board. I don't know if Allen will work but we can't go on the way it is with our transfer policy, it has to be done with more research and consideration, prudent aswell as calculated risks
  23. He has been here 4 months with the club in transition, failed summer transfer policy which we all endorsed, ultimately costing Pedro his job, no scouting network , failing to land DM, he is suppose to sort all that out just like that. How is that timeframe long enough to see results. I'm fed up with change after change with no long term fixes, we've never had no long term planning. It nearly all be down hill since the transfer policy after the Kaunas defeat, we've replaced managers, owners, directors far too often, sometimes reflection is the best option before moving forward. You go on about a wasted wage, what about the millions spunked on hee haw, transfer fees, wages, money taken out of the club, crap deals made. I don't want to given any new manager a free reign like we've done in the past. The board,Dof, Youth manager and the first team manager all have to work together, putting Rangers first and foremost.
  24. Everyone critiquing after the fact, the guys remit began after the summer, 4 months into the job it's his fault that our manager was sacked, the majority of pedro's signings have underperformed, DM never took the managers job, Murty been given the job after 4 consecutive wins thinking about the winter transfer market, only to see him losing the next two matches after taking the lead in both and playing utter shit, as well as having to set up our non existent scouting department, and were left with a heap of crap players on big long term contracts. Given the circumstances, how the fuck can anyone be able to sort that mess out when just starting a new job. He would have to be a miracle worker. Any sensible person will realise it going to take a lot of time and patience to sort out all these issues, something that we fans understandably, me included fail to have give them. He he can't just go into the job and be like a bull in a china shop like Pedro did in his role, he has to build relationships and trust and implement his plans with thought and intelligence. He might just be another clown, but he might also be the one that could turn our club around. We can't determine that within a few months, without even 1 transfer window come and gone. We can't keep relying on quick fixes.
  25. I am not being deluded, have you seen the guy work, his transfer targets how he set up the scouting system, our plans going forward. The board backed our last 3 permanent managers yet all failed and cost us, we have to change. Do you really want any new incoming manager to be given free reign again.
