  1. Not as much as some do. We have three permanent players in with the Accrington lads and Ohallaron. I expect a couple of new loans with Ball and Gedion going back to their clubs. I expect another 3 permanent signings to replace Clark, Law and Shiel's. I'm hoping for a couple of our young lads to progress through, I rather see that being our main route.
  2. There's no evidence to show we won't be successful next season with this lot, we are as dominant in the these cup games as we have been in the league. St Johnstone game I think we came in over confident especially the way we had been smashing teams back then and we were punished for that in the first 47 minutes. since then I think we have been the far dominant team in that game and the killie game, , but the last third have not been clinical enough plus a touch of bad luck. point 2 I never disputed , i just think some got ahead of themselves the way the season started. The rebuild job at Rangers is massive, what did Mcoist and the old board actually leave for the new board and Warburton to work with and build on, nothing but a mess. Point 3 u just cant say they would not make a difference, we will never know. Did King not make a difference last week. Which team was better killie or Falkirk. Ohallaron is a higher calibre spl player and could easy make a difference against a bottom spl team
  3. No One has ever said we are the finished article, but there no point spending money just for the sake of it. Warburton came in and the club was a mess off field and on field, it was never going to be quick fix. He has to change the entire club from coaching staff and methods and the scouting network aswell as having bare bone squad at the start of the season. We have come a long way in a short time, the only thing we need to do is get promoted this season. Once we know that, I think the board and Warburton will have a better understanding of what is required for the next stage of progression. U also have to give ohallaron and king a chance, they didn't even play today.
  4. Prso was excellent with the ball at his feet and was an unselfish player and could play across all 3 forward positions.
  5. Wattereus, decent keeper, excellent with ball at feet Stevens and Numan fullbacks bjokerland for his pace and gough at cb. Tough one for dcm, but I think for taking no shit Iain Ferguson. Gazza and Trevor Steven the midfield maestros Laudrup, Mols and Prso
  6. how would rate the progression since Sinclair left. Any prospects Warburton will be monitoring for for first team action this season.
  7. Did I refer to ur post, did I mention his health, i was referring to the posts saying he wasn't much of a standout. lewis was probably the best player under Mcoist, better than Law, Sheils, McKay. Warburton has improved these players above so not hard to imagine he would have the same effect on Lewis Warburton already signed him once for Brentford so obviously rates him I did not mention his health, that's an issue for him and his doctor, and the club he is playing for, they will know the risk for his health far better than any of us.
  8. Some of u lot are hard to please. If his injury problems were resolved, I would take him back no probs. Magic hat has already signed him when at Brentford, so obviously rated him. McLeod was better than McKay in a poor team, look at McKay now, far better player. I could easily imagine Warburton having the same effect on Lewis as he did McKay. I just hope the lad gets a sustained run without injuries and doesn't end up like Ness who is the definition of injury prone
  9. It's a suggestion, not a solution, I think we will buy a long term one. Shiels will be gone next season, he is on far too much money just now, Haliday could be utilised further forward, Ball isnt getting a run at ch, I'm sure the that dm position won't be too alien too him , we have such a high line anyway, there would be minimal space between him and the chs more like a back 3 than anything else. Anyway Im just an armchair manager, and I don't have a magic hat, so what do i know
  10. if it is the case of players not playing for Mourinho any more, then It fucking disgraceful by the players. They are paid hugh amounts of money, playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world, with a manager who has won more trophies with multiple clubs than any other current manager. It not even about that, players are there to be part of a team and play football to their best of ability and follow the managers instructions. That's what they are paid to do. It irks me that players think they should determine the future of their manager by playing shit, they have a duty to the paying fans and the club that pay them, as well as professional pride. I mean this for every player at every club. If they have a problem, be a man and speak to the manager face to face, if that doesn't sort it, use the internal work procedures.
  11. Just a suggestion, try him out in the defensive midfield role and haliday more attacking role. i like our defensive lineup but they are needing a more natural dcm player in there to help out, our next transfer target will be a dm I believe
  12. I like the look of aj but Im not taking anything from this fight, reminds me of Price Dallas, and we all know what happened to Price's career..
  13. 86 today, Montrose medal with two birdies, best ever, felt I left a fair few out there too
  14. The U.S. open even though he has won it has always be andy's most erratic slam. Anderson played great. If u look at his defeats at the slams this year, the other player has played great, although he should have played better in the last 2 Sets at Australia. He will be more fresh for the Davis cup now, I think Andy would love to win that once in his career. Just my opinion, but I think Andy would be content with his career if he'd had a Davis cup and an Australian Open title to his resume.
  15. Her world record run 2.15 was only possible because of the male pacemakers, which I don't have a problem as she still did the run, not her fault that they couldn't get a women fast enough to pace her.
  16. I don't believe radcliffe doped. I believe she was just an incredible fighter with heart, you could tell with that running style that she was giving it everything she had. If wasn't like she came out of no where, had 1 great year then dissappeared again. She had to move to the marathon because she didn't have a kick on a last lap on the track and got burned so many times in the championships, but if u look at the all-time 10k runs she is the most consistent of all the other top athletes.
  17. He is over 30 runs higher average than the rest. He definitely the best cricketer of all time.
  18. The women's records are crazy, I wonder if any of them are legal.
  19. Liked him as a player, some fans are too harsh on him. The club was all over the place back then, the guy was injured all the time then he gets a great 4 year contract bya premiership team. Wished he had stayed but I can see how he went. I don't class him in the same category as the main turncoats Whittaker and Naismith,. I hope he has a decent career, must be frustrating getting over injury time and time again .
  20. He wasn't promising, he a fucking legend one of top finishers ever
  21. Which ones if any should be discarded. flo Jo 100m and 200m has to be obvious, the women's 10000m record. Any more. some are so damn obvious, no clean athlete can ever get close to these records.
  22. Is Eddie Merckx mentionable or does the doping issues around him tarnish his reputation
  23. Everyone has done running, so Bolt is the best, no arguments here
