  1. 5 goals ruled offside? Movement off the ball? Assists? Looks to have built a great partnership with Clark? All these things are the positives that I am hearing from bears who disliked Boyd before. The five goals offside may not be a great stat but you have to give him his due for being in the right place - it's not always the offside striker who is at wrong, the pass might have been too late. Kris Boyd is by far a better overall player than he was previously and if the midfield sorts themselves out, he will feast on their supply and so will those around him.
  2. My son gets 20% discount at Specsavers for being a referee, ye know! He does not wear glasses but I am sure it is still a perk to be happy about lol!
  3. Give it a fecking rest about post counts for fuck sake - we have all had a low post count at one point but it does not make our opinions any less worthy from then to now. The OP had an opinion and I for one am glad Boyd put him right in his place by proving him wrong, but the poster deserves the right to post his frustrations/opinions just as you or I do.
  4. Dare I say it, a tactical masterpiece from the manager?
  5. Forgot about that pratt - apologies.
  6. I am one of the fans you speak of! My family had and still has Protestant beliefs, I just did not carry them in to my adult life - probably because I left my family behind to join the RAF and met plenty of differently opinionated people, from different parts of the country. I did not start following Rangers because of any Protestant links, nor did I do it for the football - I did it because I doted on my Grandad and I was happy to follow his team - my team today and my son's today/tomorrow. In terms of voting, I have no idea where my pen is going to go - at the moment - but I will make up my mind by sitting down and taking in ALL arguments. I can tell you one thing that WILL NOT sway my thinking - Football. I am Scottish, supporting a Scottish club with British heritage, but have heard these arguments about not being a true fan for not being a Prod. It just does not sit right with me and I think that the majority of Protestants can understand those who follow Rangers for the football and/or family reasons - they may not like it but they accept it. It is the minority of Protestants that may have listened to the bells and whistles but fell asleep during the teachings of everyone has a right to think for themselves and that includes Rangers fans. The same who fell asleep at the bit where they were told Protestantism is not a prerequisite for being a Rangers fan. This guy will continue to believe he is a Ranger because he is a Prod or vice versa - not much chance of us changing his view.
  7. Should the question be 'what is right with voting No'? Still undecided here
  8. Which country were you born in, out of interest?
  9. When we brought Miller in to help Boyd the last time, I walked about with my chest out as far as it could go because I told anyone who would listen that Boyd needed Miller. Miller was a running machine and Boyd was a scoring machine. When we brought Miller back this time, I wanted Boyd to join to compliment Miller and I was wrong. I had already told my family that Boyd should have been brought back a year earlier but I was glad when we brought him back. There is no better compliment for Boyd than Clark. Sandy Clark's son is the next best thing for Kris Boyd and if McCoist does not see that then he is far worse than we think he is! Kenny Miller should be kept to times when Ally feels the need for a 4-5-1 and that should be never!
  10. Frustrating as hell but guess what - it was more frustrating last season when we could not even score an offside goal!
  11. The vision was to have an academy where the youth trained with the professionals. Stop making excuses for the pathetic way in which Rangers have used our multi-million pound investment. Until someone uses it as it was intended, Rangers will be a lesser team.
  12. Aye, pull the other one! Dick had the vision and it was for the academy!
  13. I am undecided as to whether you are being a twat or an unfunny member! For Boyd to score 5 offside goals, he needs to be in the right place. The other times when he scores, he is in the right place and onside - it is quite simple. McCoist was exactly the same style of player - old school. Told to get yourself in the box and get on the end of the cross.
  14. To be fair to Scottish football, the youth academies are doing rather well. The problem with the above statement? Murray Park should have been at the forefront of it and we end up spunking our bairns out to anyone who will gobble. The moral of the story is, get Murray Park independant to the so called 'Rangers men' that manage our team - Walter and Ally in particular - and run it as a business. If the first team want the use if it, rent it out to them for running costs.
  15. Surely we have taller keepers than that?
  16. Although I have a bank holiday day off tomorrow, I will end up working on the laptop, so I shall retire in a mo. I have went simply on the Easdales being nowhere near Ibrox until Charles Green brought them to the venue. I say venue because I am unsure they knew what it was prior to their visit. They suddenly went from Scotsmen who could not care about buying Rangers for £1, to Rangers men who could get 3% for £2m. They have slowly increased their % over the months, whilst many multi-millionaires have been voiced as buying into the club. The same time this happens, the so called silent invesotrs become the token of the media and the fan - with one coming out and speaking. The board were/are string players and I believe the Easdales are too!
  17. On every time I have said it, I have stated it as an opinion - my opinion. You can take that as a hunch,
  18. That was well said and makes me wonder if you are actually The Dude!? Is that you, Jeff? You bound to have plenty of dosh to invest in the Bears?
  19. I was on the verge of adding my name to RF for web development and a meeting voice, but I jumped back due to the potential of poor screening.
  20. I have said it once, and I will say it for the thousandth time - the Easdales' are proxies. I am not certain who they work for but I am certain they are the face for someone. Whilst Ashley still owns Newcastle, the Easdales could take the plaudits as the majority shareholders of Rangers. When Newcastle is sold, they would be paid in kind by shares, whilst Mike strolls in and slaps the board. I am convinced we are being run remotely but I am not going to try and convince you it is Ashley or anyone else - but someone is.
  21. Why? I am genuinely interested to find out what the problem is with my fellow Rangers fans who think Scotland should stay part of the Union. I am an undecided vote, as it stands, but I will not vote NO just because of the Union. The Union is an aged item as far as I am concerned - my love for Rangers came from a grandfather who loved the Union, which makes it hard for me to say that, but evolution is not limited. My fear on iScotland? The Catholics rule. Scotland would not thrive under a religious rule - be it predominantly Catholic or Protestant - and I fear that a tide has turned over the years where the common voice comes from Catholics. If they get control of Scotland, we may as well get ready for our beloved team getting thrown to the Wolves. I do get some some stick for not being a Unionist but I am not English, nor am I Protestant. I chose CoS after being in the Boys Bigrade, but I was thankfully never forced into a religion.
  22. Do we know if any of the noms have done it?
