VB Meeting With Craig Whyte

Bp as you know mate I've been exactly the same, the vb boys are appreciated in my book and they were only going on what they were being told face to face by this man!

I'm just afraid he played a huge percentage of us fans and tbh he really doesn't give a fuck

And in regards to certain information which was off the record all i will say is that much of it was hearsay and gossip which would have done us or Rangers no good by making it public.

The above clearly illustrates why anyone thinking fan ownership or representation on the Board will be a total waste of time other than for the particular people involved.

For the avoidance of any doubt.

Just because we have a meeting with Whyte doesn't mean we believe everything that was said. That applies to any situation in life.

You simply have to take what is said at face value until it is proved beyond doubt that his INTENTIONS for the club were not honourable.

They were lied to like everyone else...not there fault.

Hopefully the last time we are lectured by certain indivduals from that groupthough for daring not to disagree with them. Sometimes being "in the know" doesn't mean you know the truth.

Everyone wanted to believe him at the start , we were all duped by an expert conman , who hopefully will end up jailed ..........

No need for any abuse of VB over this. If Whyte has lied to them, they have done nothing wrong. Whether they decide to print what else he said is up to them, but I suspect they won't.

My topic was not abusive to them. Just think they should tell what this other information was.

Adoniram reply here seems to differ from Outlaws point in a post he made with regards to the meeting.

VB ask for unity yet unity is a two edged sword.

Re the above in bold, why have the add on, as if they have something else to say yet cannot say out of respect for the chairman and the club.

NB

Respect was there as it was from my viewpoint as a good few of my posts have stated. Let's wait until the Administrators have had their say, well that view point changed somewhat when they made public the Lloyds settlement.

You have a real cheek ...lecturing to others.

It's your forte on here.

People in glass houses and all that.

As for your initial post...i'll treat it with the contemot it deserves.

Not everyone one believed him from the start, and that is not I told you so....

You don't structure your business "empire" the way he did and not be hiding things....

And neither was it taken that way. People have a right to ask questions about all groups and all aspects of the club. No problem with that but when petty digs are added that's a different matter.

The problem with these fan groups is they leave themselves open to it.

When the RST started up I made the point to Glass and Dingwall that it would become a clique and the ruling elite would ultimately get all the nice little gossip and info and not pass it (and other benefits) onto the wider fanbase. It has proven the case time and again.

Every single last one of these fan groups is very selective in the information they pass on.

And i am not in a position to disagree. All i will say is that until you actually attend one of these meetings and realise what is discussed only then do you understand what can and cannot be made public. There has to be some degree of client confidentiality. However it is what is kept hidden and perhaps why that could be debated. Is it for personal gain or for the good of your group.

VB have no aspirations for a seat on the board and never will do. All we have tried to do from day one was look after the club and the fans.

Say for example the Chairman makes an allegation about a former employee off the record and we decide "fcuk it we are printing it"....what good does that do for the Chairman, for Rangers or for the individuals concerned.

Spreading hearsay and gossip is not what we hold meetings for.

And again i will state that if information came our way that proved someone or some group was deliberately out to harm Rangers FC it would get published without hesitation regardless of who it implicates.

I don't think i can be any clearer on this issue can I ?

As soon as this man walked into office looking to set up RST from the off I thought hmm great idea wrong individual.

You are indeed spot on as to clique and if you fill in the missing name fro a USA sitcom you have the second mistake this group incurred at launch

I do not wish to be rude but I've heard this all before. Christ, it was me who initiated extreme pressure back in the day that eventually forced Dingwall and Glass to publish minutes of the meetings they had with Murray et al. They'd had had over half a dozen meetings with the Club and not released any information, indeed they never even told the membership about the meetings initially. It makes the subsequent schisms all the more ironic.

There are all manner of ways of leaking sensitive information with no comeback so that excuse does not wash with me.

Until all information is fully disclosed from these meetings they are nothing more than gossip and chest puffing exercises for those fans involved.

Would you put Whyte under that banner, or do you think there is still hope.

Did you attend any of these meetings???
