JR 1,480
According to Evening times:Smith has moved on to other targets and hopes to have another couple of new faces in before the squad leaves for Germany on Thursday for a three-game tour.Wigan's Lee McCulloch and Hibs' Steven Whittaker remain on the priority list, although Smith might not have those deals struck this week.A striker is also being pursued, while West Ham full-back Paul Konchesky is believed to be back on the radar. The Rangers boss made his eighth signing of the summer at the weekend when 29-year-old former Man United keeper Roy Carroll joined on a free from West Ham.Carroll, a lifelong Rangers fan, jumped at the chance to join up.Id be happy if that were the case
Guest The Brown Brogue
If this is the case, and we are to spend money on McCulloch, Whittaker and Knochesky, I would expect that striker to be Fowler.Unless there more money available than we think. Muff 245
A striker is also being pursued, while West Ham full-back Paul Konchesky is believed to be back on the radar.Would be happy with that, McCulloch and a RM/W(not Whittaker) plus a striker. We'd have a solid defence in Konchesky--Weir--Cuellar--Hutton

Bazza 21
Sounds reasonably positive. I'd like to get some of these deals tied up and start to concentrate on the CL qualifiers.
Davy 68
I think the Striker is McCulloch. I think we will get Whittaker aswell, and hopefully Koncheskey.

Davy 68
I maybe read it wrong...."Wigan's Lee McCulloch and Hibs' Steven Whittaker remain on the priority list, although Smith might not have those deals struck this week.A striker is also being pursued"You could be right. JR 1,480
I am not keen on Konchesky.Personal choice mate of course but i rate him - is there something about him specifically you dont like?
trueblue1872 2
Konchesky Is quality. Another striker is a must. We need a striker more than a right mid imo.
Muff 245
I quite like that guy Murphy at Hibs. Also Rat of Shakthar. I tink PK would be a good signing.

I tink PK would be a good signing.I suggested Murphy yesterday, a very decent player, IMO.Not seen much of Rat but I would take Konchesky in a minute. Muff 245
We need a striker more than a right mid imo.I think we need both just as much. Novo, Burke and Sionko are simply not good enough.
trueblue1872 2
STill Sebo JCD and boyd Gow. :0 I'm a fan of Gow and Boyd. Sebo can get ta feck and still unsure on JCD.Burke can do the job out there IMO. He needs to get a few games under his belt. I've said it before on the board, we saw a bit of the old burke in the LA game and if he played like that in the SLP week in week out he would easily make that RW his own. Muff 245
I'd actually rather have Whittaker on the right than watch us play Burke.
Guest The Brown Brogue
I'd rather see us start a game with 10 men than see Burke get a game.I think he's utter pump.
