  1. I remember it well - vaguely. Somehow ended up in MacSorley’s after the game and when the goals were shown on the television I could see two of everything.
  2. Not on here very often these days but Happy New Year to all on RM. WATP.
  3. I saw a van belonging to an Edinburgh building firm years ago, the names on the side? Souness and Boyne. Hows that for staunch?
  4. Just saw this on FF, shocked to hear it. Condolences to Ben’s family and friends.
  5. Mon the Welders. Not as good a team as the Platers obviously.
  6. You’re not wrong, you’ve just used too many big words.
  7. We need someone we can rely on consistently. There must someone out there for a fair price who can give us the positive things we got from Morelos without all the negatives that he brings as well.
  8. Heartbreaking watching that video. It’s devastating what that disease can do to fit sportsmen like Doddie, Fernando, David Hagen and Rob Burrow. My aunt died from it 15 years ago, since then the profile had been raised by charities like Doddie’s but there is still nowhere near enough funding for research into it. RIP Doddie, a true giant.
  9. His job’s safe no matter what happens in the CL, between getting to Seville and then this season’s groups I reckon he’s bulletproof for the rest of this season even if we finish bottom of our group and a distant second in the League. If the tarriers keep hoovering up the domestic trophies after that and it becomes clear he doesn’t have the capability to stop them, then questions might be asked.
  10. You and 65-year-old me up front would have looked more like scoring.
  11. “Aye but he’s only 20”. Sick of this pish, or did I imagine teenagers like Johnstone, Parlane, Durrant, ,Ferguson etc not only play in Old Firm games but stand out in them? “Aye, but he’s not played a lot of first team football”. Did I imagine 21-year-old Bobby Russell come from Shettleston Juniors and slot seamlessly into our first team? Maybe examples from years ago, but I would argue football was a lot tougher then, but these young guys stepped up when called upon.
