Kent deserves a lot of credit. 55 aye but even before then terrorised the taigs, a big change from the horrendous scorelines we endured during our time coming back. Took the piss out of top European teams and played a big part in getting us to the hardest European final the club and Scottish football has had to date. He's moved on though and while he can offer big things on the big days, we need a player who will also deliver also at slums like St mirren, which Kent often didn't. If he came back would be awesome as a 2nd choice, but just can't see him being a starter in most of our games.

I have a strong idea it is true. I could be wrong but makes no difference, still a lads dead playing his sport. Its an aggressive sport, and I find it much easier to believe a player who has played in many top leagues has went for a cheap shot (not uncommon in the sport) and its ended horribly, as opposed to he's too clueless even at a top level.

And Kent out of position is still levels above Lammers.

I agree with you. But what a spectacle it'd be. Footballs the national sport of Scotland, yet Hampden is what we have to show for it, and the SFA want to stay there. It's embarrassing when you consider Scotland's 2nd sport has outclassed footballs national stadium for 3 decades. It's a failing on the SFA, especially given the substantial higher funding they have than the SRU. If not Murrayfield, then there has to be a direction in the SFA to deliver something better than Hampden in the mid to long term. Sadly there isn't. Either way don't think the unwashed have to worry about travel arrangements for a final this season.

Literally a post or 2 above mine.... Hope he does well and he has for us so far. Leeching onto a token motm as a positive tonight as some have done isn't it. His time will come at an international level, just not in that patched together squad the night. The games he has shone for us is a bigger testament than a youth ni squad vs a better Finnish team.

Motm was a gesture to youth on a horrendous night. No one in that squad did well. In fairness a squad plagued with injuries. Lad deserves credit getting his first cap. Would like to see him playing football there with more experienced players which will do him good. But celebrating Motm on here after a pumping from Finland isn't a positive. No doubt he'll be gutted, striving to make his next cap more meaningful, and hopefully in a less injury wrecked team.

We had that model in action when Patterson, Bassey and Aribo left. Looking back to then who'd have pictured us having fucking Lammers in the squad, nevermind playing week in week out. Grasping at straws hoping Beale was right and the signing costs were nothing like reported, somehow doubt that'll be a happy story. Need to get the finger out and first perform (hopefully Clements the right lad), then shift/make good signings.
