  1. Significantly bigger capacity, atmosphere, fan experience, transport links, facilities.... Can both be shit, but even then Hampden loses by a landslide. Plus for a cup final 15,000+ extra bears in attendance lording it over the sheep shaggers compared to Hampden.
  2. I'm sure they're raging with their fit for purpose 21st century stadium that actually has an atmosphere. Hampdens a dump.
  3. Just a reminder the SFA chose that disgrace Hampden over moving to a proper stadium like Murrayfield all for vanity. 17,000+ extra bears would of been there, with much better seats to see the sheep get pumped.
  4. Lets add Lammers (especially), Dessers and Davies to the list of players no one ever wants to see again (but will). Roofe at least offers something when he's fit, just cant see him being more than a backup but potentially a decent one.
  5. Time will tell if Beale was right in saying the transfer fees were nothing like what was reported. Despite having a profit it's pretty grim. Only silver lining is Clement has the team playing well which can only benefit the player trading model. Looking through the squad Cantwell, Danilo, Raskin and McCausland (if he signs a new contract) look to be the players to try and bring on and sell. Seems a bit light. For some I suppose it's hard to see much coming in after the Beale reign, performances and results talk and Clement has done superb so far so maybe reasons to be optimistic.
  6. Same but good atmosphere and sound fans. Different ofcourse if it was taig fans.
  7. The scandis look a good shout. Probably them or Poland next for me. Never heard of the others but will give them a look.
  8. Curious what other bears experiences abroad have been like seeing teams other than the famous. Ended up in a city near Frankfurt so ended up there in my first foreign non-gers abroad game. Aye nay doubt itd be them, seethed a little bit. Out in the sticks and on the way up random roadside bars with very reasonable (UK pub standard prices but better bevs). Getting into the ground was a bit of a piss take and took ages, few entrances for all stands and proper searches. Atmosphere awesome, smoking in a stadium is a novelty, pints of better than Scottish pub prices and straight to your seat. Cheap and good food and booze. Passionate crowd, none of whom seemed to leave till 20mins after enjoying the party. Even tho they'd only pumped Helsinki. Trains after a nightmare but nothing worse than the subway. Only downside was seeing all the scarfs and tops from the final. Was seething but own fault for ending up there, still worth it. Overall impressed, Germany looks after it's fans in a way top 5 leagues and the UK don't come close to matching. Looking to get to more foreign grounds, Gers games or no, any experiences from fellow gers?
  9. In rugby you can buy a earpiece to hear what the refs saying. Well from my memory it was a common thing a decade or 2 ago, not sure if it is now. OT I think the VAR process has got better, certain ones where the ref is told the decision. In high profile games in big stadiums (like Europe), not sure why the ref should have to go to his wee screen no one sees. Put it up on the big screens like rugby and he can chat it through with the TMO. Much better with fans, can see the process and what they're looking at even without audio. Strangely football seems a sport which is so reluctant to accept and adopt what's been successfully done in other sports for years and has to have it's own shite twist, to the detriment of all watching.
  10. Like them but has to be some common sense around it. Maybe part of a display before a game and not during. Can't mind where it was but sure I read somewhere there's zones in stadiums in other leagues where pyros are ok. God knows where, maybe some eastern Euro leagues.
  11. Player who's been shite bar a spell against Betis and 1 nice hit of the ball in a game that was already dead in Tayside.
  12. Shocking if true. Hope bears would give him the hiding of a lifetime before the cunt's chucked in the jails for those shitebags to sort them out.
  13. What a QF round, 2 top, top tier games, and 2 exciting tier 2 games.
  14. Theyve said they are changing the draws so it isnt so far in advance. Should shock you to see them beat a very in form SA, after barely overcoming a tier 2 team in the QF after the easiest of groups. SA have beaten 3 teams that would murder England, while England or any team they've played would finish top 3 in SA's pool.
  15. Aye sure all the Scots are thinking about other "British" stuff and not celebrating qualifying for another Euros, while being 1 of 3 nations to qualify so far....
  16. We've got Lammers and Dessers, and are now relying on a very injury prone striker... we sunk months ago.
  17. Glad we got him in over Muscat. If he's actually good, time will tell.
  18. Even before Beale, Colak seemed to be not trusted even though he scored. I thought he was a better all round player than Boyd, and a player who could actually play in Europe. Shouldn't of been sold and the fee we got for him was obscene. Imagine Shankland will go for more than we got which he should. That talks more about how desperate we were to get a proven goalscorer out the door than anything else. Wild when Morelos hadnt played like Morelos in over a year.
  19. I think the impact of a captain is very overrated amongst fans. Players can be leaders on the pitch without being captain. Like him or hate him, he's a leader in the squad. Been in squads at low points with players like Rob Kiernan, invincible 55, embarrassing some massive money clubs in Europe and a European final that took pens to separate. If captain did mean something there's not a player that's seen us at our shitteat and our best more than tav.
  20. Didn't understand why we punted Colak at the time and still can't.
  21. Mind Sima getting slated on here loads not too long ago, thought it was unjustified then. Even on his shite games he seems to still try. Whereas wasters like Lammers I can only mind looking remotely interested to put effort in for a spell of the Betis game.
  22. Fair play to Ally. Always came across as being a rugby fan or at the very least having a lot of respect for the sport. Speaking very highly and going to games for Glasgow on the way to being the only Scottish team to win the league, and sure he's been to a fair few Scotland games. Legend supporting a legend of another sport with the most awful of diseases.
  23. Couldn't care less. Us calling them fenians or them calling us H***, if you're going to get offended by that probably shouldn't be at a game.
  24. Ireland at the breakdown are a different level. Joke being ranked 5th and having the 2 best teams in your pool. None of these teams should have 1 never mind 2 top 5 teams in their pool. Either way, mental Ireland have never made it past a quarter final. Didn't even top their pool last time, losing out to Japan of all teams
