  1. Nobody was getting excellent performances out of the players who were here under Gio. Points per game have increased so at least that's an improvement. I'm not making any judgements on Beale's management until he's dealing with his own team rather than making do with what he inherited. So far, the players he's brought in have looked good. Hopefully this is an indicator that Beale has good connections and an eye for players who can come in and improve us straight away.
  2. Agreed wholeheartedly with this. As soon as we were crowned champions, we could np longer come away with the "look where we've come from" excuse. From then on it should have been "look where we are NOW". For the board to have squandered a golden opportunity to keep on top (and be guaranteed CL football in the process) was incredible. Every fan could see the problems with the squad and recruitment yet (somehow) those in charge of the club couldn't. I'd love to be in the position to ask the board how long they honestly think we'll be selling out Ibrox for if things don't improve behind the scenes and on the pitch next season?
  3. Haha. Not a tarrier, bead rattler, soap dodgers or any other term you want to use for the great unwashed. User name refers to my locale (Mongolia). In hindsight, probably should have thought that one through!!! How do you change your user name?!!
  4. Haha. Point is, that one player totally skews what we've been benefitting from through the youth set up and shows he was an anomaly rather than the norm. To compare what we've been seeing with those other clubs is, IMO, ridiculous.
  5. Taking out the sale of Patterson, how many appearances have we had or much money have we brought in from academy players? Despite how pathetic some of our first team have been this year we're still not showing trust in those coming through the ranks. All of this suggests he won't be much of a loss.
  6. The running of the club has been awful for years. We royally fucked up by, unnecessarily, squandering huge amounts of money on journeymen in the lower leagues rather than focusing on youth and rebuilding for the future. Unfortunately, this has continued since getting back to the top flight. We've had a scattergun approach to signings rather than following any sort of strategy. This has gifted the scum the opportunity to equal and (most likely) surpass our records in the not too distant future. I'm hoping that we'll see an improvement in the running of the club but I can't say I have confidence that this will happen.
  7. After their pathetic performances on Sunday, does Michael Beale have no option but to drop Kent and Morelos? If he starts with them, does this send out a message to the rest of the players that he is weak and won't make strong decisions? To my mind, Beale has to show strength this weekend (and for the rest of the season) or he will struggle to impose his will on next year's squad.
  8. They're two of our highest earners. Ok, they've chosen to run down their contracts which they're perfectly entitled to do (we've certainly benefitted from FOC) but they've completely switched off and, basically, been taking the p!ss all season. Deserve every bit of abuse they get IMHO and hope they won't be given a chance to pull on our jersey again.
