  1. The goals came from Sam Jamieson, Andy Dallas and Jordan Houston. The squad is listed on the Milk Cup website, I could have given a brief profile on the players if I had got the squad earler. In hindsight I could have made theses games if I had put my leave request in sooner.

  8. No role what so ever, just someone who has always taken an interest in the youths. Started the blog as the official coverage was virtually non existent. That is one of many things you would need to ask Ally, along with why do your teams continuously launch long balls ? Why have you given six or seven players new contracts only to pay them off a short time later ? Gasparotto and Halkett both played in U20's game against Airdrie. I believe a few youth players have rejected contract extensions, probably monitoring Charlie Telfer's progress at DU and seeing what competitive game time they get this season.
  9. Last season the older teams pretty much played a direct game, with the younger teams playing more football. As there was a gap between the teams last night they was no need to revert to a long ball game. Once they play better opposition we will have a better idea what style they have been instructed to play. None of the teams are in the Aberdeen area in the near future, but will play there in the development league. Yes they are brothers

  11. Never seen last night's game and I wouldn't put too much emphasis on it. but the football I have watched the last two years has been dire. Our opponents with inferior players and miniscule budgets have on a good few occasions played better and more attractive football than us. His comments about being unable to give Daly rest last season were embarasing and laughable. His judgement on players leaves a lot to be desired. Kal Naismith given a new contract then paid off. Darren Cole given a new contract then paid off. Andy Mitchell given a new contract then paid off. Chris Hegarty given a new contract then paid off. Scott Gallagher given a new contract, in the process of being frozen out and probably paid off. Kyle McAuslandgiven a new contract in the process of being frozen out and probably paid off. He went halfway round the world to watch Peralta twice and still signed him, it wouldn't be an outrageous prediction that he could be paid off too.

  14. A look at Europe's "second best" youth academy and how we can learn from it http://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2014/07/08/fk-partizan-belgrade-youth-school/
  15. Lost 2-0 to FC Copenhagen if I can get details of squad and goalscorers I'll do a post on the blog
  16. Next to no coverage on the official site is the main reason I started the blog 7 years ago
  17. I do think we have regressed since George Adams left, but only a few players played above their age group when he was at Rangers. You may have a 16 playing at 18's under him on occasions but at the younger groups would play one year up at best, and this would only be the best one or two players.
  18. Brief report on the tournie http://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2014/06/02/tournament-win-for-13s-in-holland/
  19. Don't worry Sinky will find someone that can kick harder, higher and further than Charlie.
  20. Two cruciates and a worse touch than Yaya Faure

  22. Probably won't cost them anymore than the compensation they payed Queen's Park for Andy Robertson and Aiden Connolly. It's never done till its done, but if Dundee United are at the stage of offering a fee they must be confident its a done deal.
  23. Liam Kelly is in the Scotland 19's squad, they could have taken Lewis McMinn though
