  1. Sir Walter's here for 3 in a row. Can you hear that? That's the sound of journalists up and down the country scratching their heads at how to spin this into a negative story. GIRUY!!
  2. I think all of this is in spite of Ellis, we are moving on without him really. All that has happened is Walter has agreed a budget for next season with the bank and is happy with it. I'd take this as positive news on its own rather than being part of any wider good news.
  3. Yip, just said the same in another thread. Walter will be satisfied with the funds he has available and AJ said in his quotes that any wages from players leaving will be invested back in the squad. There is potentially 50k per week worth of wages there.
  4. I'm delighted at this news, well done Sir Walter Smith and well done Rangers. He's obviously satisfied that there will be enough funds there to bring in players whom he feels is capable of helping us compete for the title next season, and AJ said as much in his quotes. So here's an open invitation to the Scottish Mhedia to try and put a negative slant on this story. Hope you are hurting.
  5. Portugal had 75% possession and Cape Verde never had a shot on target.
  6. how can you hate him He is a catholic who acts like a loyalist trust me when i say alot of fans feel the same as I do. He spends his time trying to get the fans to like him. All of my mates with season tickets feel the same. I sincerely hope that someone has hacked your account.
  7. Didn't Ellis say last week he had not been in contact with Murray at all? Now he's saying he has previously met with him.
  8. he had 3 summers to bring it up to smith, if he wasnt happy on the ebnch he should have said while i dont think i could believe it, now it looks like that novo didnt want to upset his paymasters, now we dont pay him anymore, he'll have a dig at smith and the club if the club had offered him a 2 year deal as "supersub" he'd still be here, so you have to wonder On your first point, having read his book it seems him and Smith had regular conversations about him being used as a sub and he wasn't content with it, but happy to go with what the manager felt was best. At this stage of his career it is all about having security of a decent contract, one year just isn't enough. He has said as much, and it was the biggest factor in him leaving. Not being a regular starter was secondary to this. So, yes, if he had been offered a longer contract he would still be here. I honestly cannot see what Nacho has said here which has some so opposed to. All he has said is that he was disappointed at not being a regular starter in the team. Show me a player with any self-respect who is fine with that.
  9. He did that for 3 years!! And never spoke out of place once. How you can question his commitment to this club is beyond me, but from you it doesn't surprise me. why come out with it now though, if he was happy to do it while here then theres no need to bring it up i dont question his commitment, just his timing of comments like this he probably thought if i speak out i'll get flogged, maybe thats why he didnt mention it while here He's speaking out now because he's being asked why he didn't accept a one year extension at the club. He's simply answering the questions. I'd much rather he said it now than during the season when we were chasing a title. That kind of thing can upset a dressing room and the wee man will be well aware of that. He never spoke out of line at the club, always accepted the decisions of the manager and gave his all when he got on the pitch. You can't ask anything more of a Rangers player, in my opinion.
  10. aye but 35,000 in a population of over 5 million makes the Tartan Army "the most loyal football fans in the world"
  11. He did that for 3 years!! And never spoke out of place once. How you can question his commitment to this club is beyond me, but from you it doesn't surprise me.
  12. Can't you? It sadly doesn't surprise me in the slightest mate.
  13. I don't blame the wee man one but for his comments. When you have players of lesser ability such as Naismith and Steven Smith getting into the starting positions ahead of you, it is only natural to be aggrieved. I'd much rather him come out and say this after he's left the club than when we were still fighting for the title during the season. He never said a word out of place at Rangers, accepted the decisions of every manager he played under and still gave his all for the jersey. Scoring some absolutely crucial goals in the process. You can't argue with that. All the best to the wee man back in Spain, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see him pop up with a goal against Real Madrid or Barcelona, because he is more than capable of it.
  14. Number 1 should be Bill Struth, the facts don't lie.
  15. Congratulations to The Seasiders, an incredible season. Will be good to see them in the Premiership, they have the right footballing philosophy.
  16. Get in there Ormerod!! What a fucking game.
  17. World class from Charlie Adam, beautiful strike!!
  18. The national anthem is not to be played for fear of offending the Cardiff fans. Fuck off to the Welsh league if you don't like it! Hump these sheep shaggers, Blackpool.
  19. Ian Holloway's Tangerine Army!! Come on Blackpool.
  20. As well as setting their stadium on fire the Ultras burnt their own banners, two Fener fans were stabbed outside the stadium and the stadium announcer has had a death warrant issued by on of the Ultra groups. Turkish football isn't for the faint-hearted, but i love it.
  21. They better hope they get no defensive injuries, they haven't taken enough cover with them. Midfield looks decent but there is a real lack of creativity in there i feel. They'll basically be relying on their strikeforce to produce the chances and put them away. To be honest i think they have taken too many strikers, there is absolutely no need for Palermo to be there.
