  1. Nah, that's nonsense. There is absolutely no law against having those kind of establishments.
  2. Completely agree with that, barring injuries i think that will be the team which starts the tournament. And by God it's hard to beat.
  3. My understanding of due dilligence (which is more than likely wrong) is that this is a period of time where Ellis would have access to the books and can ask questions etc about anything that they show. If he has completed this, then surely it makes sense to think about whether to actually bid? I agree that it's taken a frustratingly long time. He knew roughly what to expect before looking at the books, it has been pretty well publicised how much money it would need to complete a takeover and clear the debt. Indeed, he has been putting the figure of £33 million around for some time now, so he has known for a while. So i don't think he is spending all this time thinking about whether to bid or not. Personally i think we have closer links to MIH than is being let on and this is accounting for the length of time it is taking. Safe to say Murray has completely fucked us. Clearly there is a lot of untangling to be done to seperate Rangers from MIH, and that will take time?? so why is AJ getting his knickers in a twist about that. The tax issue was a problem that came out, then that was cleared up by SDM saying publicy MIH will take care of that problem. Maybe some other issues need to be cleared up a bit more privately?? this does not mean we are, or SDM HAS FECKED US UP. Ellis and his backers will buy us. So Murray hasn't fucked us up then? Everything is fine?

Yeah, but knowing roughly what to expect is different to actually looking at the books and getting his hands dirty - especially given that he might be working with others or even trying to secure further funding to make the deal. Perhaps this EBT/HMRC stuff is delaying him in his bid whilst he seeks advice? I suppose there is the fact that he needs to negotiate a price too, that could take time whilst he puts together what he wants to bid. I'm sure the quoted 33 million is not 'buy it now' price. Ellis would of course want to get the best for his money. What are you eluding to regarding the closer links to MIH mate? Something that AJ said about this tax query being down to MIH has got me wondering if there are other parts of Murray's empire tied up in our clubs finances that we are not privy to.

  6. Yes, he completed diligence, but surely he has the right to mull over whether to actually proceed with a bid and commit a very large amount of 'personal' wealth to a football club he doesn't even support? Sorry, but isn't that the kind of thinking you do before you spend a lot of money conducting due dilligence?
  7. What an atmosphere at this game, both sets of fans going for it. Brilliant. Some good football being played too, Capel's goal was a screamer.
  8. Absolutely. And given that Martin Bain is heading the daily running of the club there is even less reason for him to be there. Being Chairman right now is nothing more than a fancy title, it means nothing when you have the bank dictating things and Murray and Ellis in a stand-off.
  9. AJ made that statement solely to force Ellis from his silence of late, that has been achieved. To be honest, i'm not at all concerned about the job that Johnston is doing because in my opinion he is only there as an experienced face to wheel out to the press and appeal for calm every now and again whilst we stumble from one month to another. What i want is a speedy resolution to this, and i'm sure that is what AJ, Walter Smith and Martin Bain want too. Which probably accounts for their extreme frustration about how long and drawn out these negotiations are becoming. Ellis has had months to carry out due dilligence, you are not going to tell me our accounts are so complicated that an experienced businessman and his associates need that long to look over them. There is something else going on behind the scenes that is holding this up and i for one am getting really fucking sick of it. The fans, Walter and the Rangers staff are the ones suffering here. We deserve better.
  10. Sorry, but the way it is looking we are going to NEED him to stay. If Wilson and Bougherra do indeed leave this summer then we are left with Weir and Webster at the back, with possibly Jamie Ness as cover. I'd rather a 41 year-old Davie Weir than Kirk Broadfoot any day of the week.
  11. Surely the Ash Cloud will be gone by then? Perhaps, but my finances won't have improved.
  12. My dream group: Chelsea Werder Bremen Rangers FC Twente 3 affordable bus trips.
  13. As GCL says, the wage bill in the last couple of years has been slashed and is set to be again this summer. Nobody in the past 2 seasons at Hearts is on any more than 8k, and the highest earners would have been the three lads who have been released.
  14. Remember that Kingston was signed during the Romanov 'boom' period where they also paid £850k for a single player. He may well have been on a greater wage than Novo. Plus, a two year deal at £5000 a week is more than a one year deal at £8000 a week, if you know what I mean. There is still no way they are going to release three big players and then use most of the freed wages on one player who has no sell-on value. They need almost an entirely new squad for next season.
  15. Novo may be one of the lowest earners at Ibrox but Hearts can scarcely afford to pay the wages of their current squad and have indeed released their biggest earners. Absolutely no chance will they be able to offer him a two-year contract when he will commanding more wages than guys like Kingston and Goncalves who are being released.
  16. I think Rangers Football Club will be more interested in his comments on CM, if they do indeed decide to pursue legal action. Poor Philbhoy is in for one hell of a fall and wee Roisin will be crying once again.
  17. Jesus fucking Christ Boab, will you give this anti-American football nonsense a rest? It is so tiresome.
  18. As i said, i think that is exactly what he's trying to do.
  19. I have it on good authority that there was no litter dropped, so all is well in the city.
  20. I think this may just be AJ trying to speed the process up, it must be frustrating for him not being privy to all the details despite being Chairman of the club. We need this investment so badly though, because i couldn't be any more confident that the bank won't be releasing funds for us to sign players, and with that Walter will no doubt be heading for the exit.
  21. Any Rangers manager who brought a trophy to Ibrox gets my respect.
  22. Where are you sitting next season, Stu? Cause ive left school mate and the council said i was gaurenteed an apprenticeship/college place for the commenwealth games my dad said i was to pay for my own, ( i was glad i was anyway i owe my dad like 5 grand, going to belfast for 4 years and the past two seasons at ibrox and all three kits for like 8 year haha ), and then they didnt give me either so havent renewed yet. hopefully soon though. Ive found a course, my mum knows the guy personally but and hes said hes putting me out on placement straight after my first induction week, so if i get an apprenticeship after my first placement im going to try renew my ticket, somewhere near where i sat last year anyway. Just hope all goes well. It is tough work getting any kind of job just now mate. It might not seem like it but you are probably better off just furthering your education until the job market sorts itself out. Obviously you'll want to be earning money right away but you'll be better off in the long run instead of waiting for something to come along. Hope you are able to renew.
