The everyone who wants McGregor thread
mohammed87 replied to Ibroxin83's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Id pay £5 million to shake McGregors hand, let alone get him to play for me. Spurs can chug it all down. -
Was reading the teletext this morning (does this count as sourced??) on ITV page 410, it says Steve Davis is close to agreeing a ££3M deal with us. It also quotes his agent Rob Segal as saying he enjoyed his time at Ibrox and could be here for good. He said: "who knows, next week or the week after, he could be signed."
-
Even if Miller was on a free transfer I still wouldnt take him. That space could easily go to someone more deserving
-
I feel physically sick reading this... we havnt got quality players signed yet, and anyone who plays in the Euros now is gonna cost more with the exposure they'll get = harder for us to sign quality players afterwards. We're diggin ourselves into a hole im afraid.

West Brom & Everton want Thomson
mohammed87 replied to KingOfTheWing's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Thomson wont be going anywhere. Unfortunately, I think its the same for Broadfoot... -
Was talking to my cousin from birmingham about scottish football and then he started asking about which clubs had the most and least fan bases in the SPL. So that got my thinking, after the old firm, if you were to list the rest of the 10 clubs in the SPL by fan base, how would it read? Also, do any clubs in the other divisions have bigger fan bases than any SPL clubs? (I know Raith, Morton and Dundee have 'large' fan bases outwith the SPL).

If this deal goes through then next season we wont be giving away needless free-kicks! Just got Kevin Thomson to sort out now lol.

I'll be a Tim before we swap McGregor for anybody

Just read about him on Wikipedia, seems like he has a decent strike rate. Check him out here:

Rangers Told To Splash the Cash
mohammed87 replied to ricksen_da_best's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Celtic offered £3M and Riordan??? It would have been accepted if they'd not got Riordan involved! -
King Carlos in Eurosport's team of the season
mohammed87 replied to adamcs's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Fully deserves a place in the Spanish team. Another good season at Ibrox and you never know... -
His entry on Wikipedia also mentions that we're interested, but I guess thats not credible

Look elsewhere in Europe for quality
mohammed87 replied to mohammed87's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Half these leagues are worse than ours. England is an easy target for us, since there's so many teams that have good players in them. Have you seen the players in these leagues tho? Its leagues like that and at lower clubs where the likes of Eboue, Adebayor, Essien, Hleb, Drogba, Torosidis, Galitsios, Papastathopoulos, Gamst, Gomis, Feindouno, Trezeguet, Dica, Polak, Tettey, Sapara....came from and still play. The amount of good players at lower clubs in leagues like this on the verge of moves to big teams in unreal. I agree, this is a reason I posted this thread. There are hot prospects hidden in these leagues. Some are just as good (if not better) than in the EPL and would be cheaper too. I think some sensible signings from Europe would make us unstoppable in Scotland, Celtic wouldnt know whats hit them. -
Does anyone else feel these summer transfers should be focussed more on other European leagues? I have been reading some of these threads, and to be fair most are only rumours, but I think Rangers could have some more Euro success with Euro players. So far Ive read about Kenny Miller, Danny Shittu, Kyle Lafferty and others. However, I think Rangers are prestigous enough (and with enough cash from the UEFA Cup) to look in other Leagues to find what we need. Something a bit different, a bit flash. Ive seen some videos and heard about Vladimir Bystrov, Jaroslav Plasil and Behrami and I cant help feeling Europe has the calibre our club deserves. I hope Walter doesnt spend too much time trawling through the Championship sides trying to find bargains, we kinda did that last year to good effect. Granted, the summer has just begun so its early days. Does anyone else have opinions on this?
-
Def the type of player our club needs, just try and avoid injury!
-
What a guy lol, its ur main man Shogun Shogizzle.
-
Its supporters like that who give the club a bad name. Are u really a Bear if you call our own black player a monkey?? Disgusting.
-
They'll be tempted to sell, very much so. But I think sense will prevail and realise you just dont sell ur best player of the season!
-
Read this --> http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,1...3608073,00.html They think Boyd will move away this summer Hope its not the case. Walter wont be doing a 4-5-1 next season, theyll be 2 strikers up front, Boydyshould get a space with a partner.
-
"hey terry, smell my fingers..." "What the hell is that!!??" "my ASS!"
-
This is shocking... some ppl are never satisfied. Walter has done a fantastic job, true legend.
-
I noticed this too, the wee man shoulda started IMO. He looks a bright prospect for the Gers
-
A good defence is vital for a team, but it is the goals that win matches. Im certain Walter will play Boyd more regularly next season, one we have some quality wingers/midfielders.
-
I took notice of his decline since the 2-0 win against Werder Bremen. He missed that sitter from 5 inches out, since then hes done nothing.
