  1. http://www.rangers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Ne...1348771,00.html Furman played 90 mins . Fleck 72mins Good to see them involved in that game at least
  2. Didn't see any of the game, but noticed from the rangers website that emslie got a wee run out. how did he do, and does anyone know if fleck or furman were involved in the morton game?
  3. Would you rather look good and loose, or look bad and win? Well chelsea won nothing last year either, and when was the last time they were in the champions league final. If playing ugly had won us the league then fair enough, but it didn't. Let's use another example. Man U played some great stuff and won the double last season
  4. I voted robinho, because at least if we had played with some style last season, we might be a bit more optimistic about this season coming. There are times when ugly football may be necessary, but i'd much rather watch the likes of arsenal every week than chelsea.
  5. Today's sun says that both us and celtic are interested. Strachan again waiting to see who we are interested in signing, and then trying to get in there first.
  6. According to times online: "Rangers have asked to take Adam Johnson on loan from Middlesbrough. The left winger, 20, made 12 league appearances while on loan at Watford last season. Tottenham Hotspur had an offer of £1 million for Johnson turned down two years ago. " http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/foo...icle4016714.ece Don't know much about this guy, but from looking him up, seems like he might be the type of winger we need, even if it is only a loan.
  7. some great clips there, and quite a few cracking goals coming in from the left, so it proves he can have an impact there. the reason we didn't see him at his best this year was because of all the long balls
  8. I definitely think that if he's good enough then he should play. there's loads of examples of players that started young. look at sergio aguero of atletico madrid, who had made his first team international (argentina) debut at 16, or the 16 and 17 year old georgia boys that ripped scotland apart just after us beating france and ukraine
  9. he scored 25 goals this season I believe
  10. The previous scottish record was 63 games, so he set the record of 64 yesterday
  11. His corners were pretty poor today, but he's still the best we have at taking them, and not only was he involved in the 1st goal, but he also won the ball, and therefore created the second goal (i think booth might have said it was novo, but it was davis). If we can get better for three million then fair enough, but I don't see it happening. I think he's had a few good games out wide (lisbon springs to mind) but his best performances have been in the middle, where he hasn't been played recently, other than today, where he created to goals
  12. No need to worry...we can put Christian Dailly up top In all seriousness, I think any of the three mentioned can do a good enough job on thursday, but i would love to see naismith given his chance
  13. Good post. It's certainly refreshing to see a rangers team with a scottish backbone, and with regulars in the national team. Not too long ago our only representative was Fergie.
  14. And again, that suggests shaping the whole top half of the team around setting up tap in's for Boydy. I really just don't think he's a good enough player to merit getting a team shaped around him. Laudrup, Gazza, Albertz or even the Ally/Hateley partnership - aye, no problem. But shape it round Boyd? I just can't agree. I'm not suggesting we shape it around him. He'd just be taking cousin's place from when we were playing good football. If anything we have had to change system for JCD, as he doesn't suit that system. Aye, you make a good point there. I just don't know if I can see Walter starting with a proper and pure 3 pronged attack. I'll keep hoping lol

  16. I like both Boyd and JCD, but sadly both are lacking in a number of areas. We all know what Boyd needs to improve on, but I'm not sure where people get the idea that JCD is a far superior striker. He holds the ball up pretty well, and can cause defences problems with his pace, but his touch is often awful, he refuses to use his left foot (which is extremely frustrating sometimes), and I can't remember seeing him score from outside the 6 yard box. It may be due to his injuries, and we may still see the best of him, but I would definitely pick Boyd ahead of him, because he still has time to improve. I'd chose naismith to partner him, because in my opinion he is the most "all round" striker we have (other than maybe cousin if we keep him), but I'd like to see Boyd play in the middle of a 3 including Burke and Naisy, as I think he could easily double his tally before the end of the season, with two creative players supporting him.
