The team is full of centre backs. Broadfoot, Papac, Weir, Wilson, Bougherra, McCulloch..... We need creativity and, in our current situation, this is the level of creative player we can realistically go for. There are worse, in my opinion.

I'd suggest you focus your despair on war, famine, child cruely, erosion of personal liberty, or any of the really important issues in this world. That's pish! I think everyone on here would love to see the team full of young GENUINE Scottish talent. It just so happens that a large majority of the Scottish players we have are sub-par, reaching the end of their careers or have been blighted by injury! Adam, McCulloch, Dailly, Weir, Whittaker, Burke and possibly Stevie Smith are ones, in my opinion, have no future at the club, as they are either spent or not up to it anymore! But look at the other ones left. Boyd, Miller, Ferguson (although the jury is still out on him just now), Thomson (when fit again), Naismith, Broadfoot Mcgregor and Alexander. All top class Scottish talent. As for the clamour for Aaron. That's mainly due to the fact that we've seen the likes of Adam, Lafferty, Novo, Miller, Beasley and McCulloch struggle in that position, when we have this guy kicking his heels on the bench. Smith didn't seem to want to play him & yet we were forced to watch other players struggle ahead of him! It was just plain daft! I'll tell you what though, once wee Flecky is match fit again, you'll see even more clamour to get him involved than you did for Aaron!!! I'm not saying Adam should be in the team every week but he certainly doesn't deserve the treatment he gets. I remember Alan Hutton being treated in a similar manner. He wouldn't be the first that I would punt. I agree he has his failings but he's decent and young enough to merit a place in the squad. You don't get many players these days with a good left foot and he has had his moments. We seem to have the mentality that Scottish players aren't good enough. Look at the clamour of Aaron Niguez when very few have actually seen him play.

Reid is using it try and carry favour with a support who don't particularly like him, and as for liewell's comments that his support is guilty of political chanting that some find offensive? It is absolutely astonishing that nobody in the media has questioned this. The headlines today should be about murray tackling the problem head on while celtic choose not to.
