To put Aaron in the squad you would have had to drop out Boyd or Novo. Dailly had to be in the squad as was our only option for defence. What if Weir or Kirk had got injured? Remember we only had 5 substitutes................. Alexander was our goalkeeping option. Dailly was an absolute must as he can cover the whole backline and the holding role. Edu was there as cover for centre mid incase Barry or Mendes got injured. Novo was there as he can play both wings and up front. Boyd was there as our other centre forward option. Edu and McCulloch can both play at the back and Edu could cover the full back positions as well! The bottom line is Uncle Walter obviosly played to nick a goal when the munchers were there for the taking! Daily hasn't featured in the 1st team since Kaunas away and we all remember what happened that night and why we've not seen him since! An absolute JOKE!!

Absolutely spot on Frankie. The headline or the story does not mention that this was a fellow Bear that carried out this attack so why immediately incriminate ourselves?! Where does this madness end?! In the past few years the likes of Novo, McGregor, Lovenkrands and Arteta have all been subjected to vandals, assaults and even death threats and they are not nearly as offensive as Boruc! If Strathclyde Police started taking action on The Holy Goalies antics then maybe people wouldn't feel the need to gain retribution themselves! I think our current midfield will be strong when Thommo comes back. However Fergy played better than normal against Killie, if he can keep that up, I really don't know who should play unless we go 4-5-1. What would you say to..... Can anyone think of a midfield better that Advocaat's - Van Bronkhorst, Albertz, Ferguson, Reyna combination? I think our midfield now is possibly the strongest since then but the afore mentioned was the dogs b*llocks!!

Prso has to take this one, the guy oozed class and scored some important goals for us and for free, you cant get more of a bargain!!

sorry to question anyone's opinion as we are all entitled to one but I'm a bit shocked Davis is rating a mention in the top 3! for me its Bougy then Mendes and for his efforts before his injury Thomson would be my number 3! We've never seen Davis in the first half of any game this season!!

I agree but as much as I don't want to risk him getting injured or don't care too much about the Scotland teams its always good to see the RFC yougsters lining up for the national team - I've a good feeling about our youth players in the years to come - if we can hang on to them that is!

i agree 100%, we never seem to step up to the advancing opposition or stop the crosses coming into the box. we really miss Kevin Thomson in the midfield to track back and break up the play! on last nights performance Edu could slot into that role nicely coz i dont think Mendes or Ferguson can fill the void left by Thomson, not enough grit in our midfield!

My Ideal Team for the BeggarDome --------------------Shagger--------------------- Broadfoot Weir Bougherra Papac ----Mendes Edu Ferguson Fleck-- -------------Lafferty Boyd----------------- fancy seeing Pedro on the right, he did a lot of good work there for Pompey & Spurs. His crossing from deep could hurt Caldwell & Big Pr*ck at the back for the sellick, especially if Lafferty can get in about them like Cousin did earlier in the season!
