I remember watching Scotland v Netherlands quite a number of years ago . I went along as I believe it was Jim Betts Scotland debut . A very young Ruud Gullit played in that game - class was on show even then . Bett also had a good game IIRC.

I was at this game , I seem to recall it was a Dryburgh cup final . everyone around me could see it coming , Cooper took the piss . if this was done by pele, maradonna , zeco , platini it would never been of our telly

ive just watched scotland getting beating by the dutch at 45 years old i can remember some outstanding scottish players and teams . what happened !! there were players in the seventies and eighties who could not get a game for scotland who would walk into todays team are we ever going to produce the likes of henderson,willie johnstone ,baxter, souness , greig, cooper etc again
