Some of the replies on here baffle me... DAVIE WEIR is the club captain! If he is fit, he will play. You all seem to remember we were a fucking disgrace at the back until he signed for us. This guy is the reason we ar so fucking tight at the back....... i think the reason why cuellar and boogie are so good is that they have been working alongside davie weir. Yes he is slow and ageing and we do have to sit deeper to protect him but if you were to ask if every player at ibrox if they wanted davie here next year, they would have him no problem. Danny Wilson will get his chance next season when boogie is sold. At 18 years of age, im sure he wont be thinking of signing for anybody else because davie weir is infront of him. I would imagine weir works very closely with wilson as a mentor each day.

I was just reading there that boyd & Thomson are a yellow card away from picking up a suspension for a game. Unless any any player gets a straight red this weekend, we will not have any suspensions against celtic. Wee bit of thinking here....if we were at a point in the game on saturday where we are winning and its nearing the end of the game.... both players should pick up silly booking's to rule them out of st mirren at home on the 6th March. Surely we could beat St mirren at home without the two of them. If none get booked then any of them get booked against celtic, they would be out of the midweek game at kilmarnock on the Tuesday 9th March. Im sure mourinho used to tell his players when to get booked so they would miss games against "smaller" opposition Weir & whittkaer are 2 yellows away from a one game ban and maybe the similar situation could be looked if applicable in the next few weeks.

Totally agree with the above. Certainly, I beleive that we will be going into sundays game with the gap at 5 points. If we drop any points against Hibs....making the gap either 6 or still 5....I really worry about the challenge to keep the title..... we are lookign sluggish and void of any creativity.... Having a right back at left wing and a versatile palyer in mcculloch at defensive mdifield along with thommo...we have no creativity at all.... Lafferty offers nothing from the left...naismith offers nothing either We need to get width again with beasley and novo... We really need to take all 3 points on sunday IMO

Muff great post and I agree with everythign you say. This must be a boot up the arse we need. Not that I pay too much attention to Celtic, they have way more creativity than us and create more chances than us.... their fixture in march look all winnable on paper no problem. I think you're right ... I think Kris, if he wants to leave Rangers in july, should sign new contract so we could get far more better price for him. He would help his team and also get satisfaction by going into EPL ... Thats my opinion on Boyd. I am very sceptical that he has not signed a new contract. If he signes a 2n half year contract in jan there.... he could still sign for a club in the summer and get us money. If he is thinking of his own pocket - running his contract down to the death will allow the buyer to offer him a nice big signing on fee as they need to pay nothing to us. I love boyd and want him to stay but maybe the big fella has got to a point where he see's pedro on big wages, rothen on big wages, lafferty on big wages, miller on more than him, boogie on more than him, mcgregor on more than him, mcculloch on more than him and LAFFERTY on more than him - maybe he has had enough of the money men at ibrox showing him no respect. The thing is, & I have said this on a few ocassions on here.... we wont be anywhere near 31 million in debt when the new figures come out. We will have the income from Europe, the player sales and money saved on wages, cost cutting across the board and other income we receive from merchandise and ticket renewals. This coupled with another promise of euro money and the launch of new strips...we should be looking a lot healtheir in 24 months time.... I personally think that is why nobody is buying us at the price we are up for sale for.
