  1. Lafferty's red card should give Gregg Wylde the opportunity to start next week v St Johnstone We need to use the full width of the park when teams come to Ibrox so Wylde on the left and Weiss on the right. Few things in football are better than the sight of a winger beating his man and whipping the ball into the box, The reaction of the fans when Weiss came on shows exactly what we've been missing
  2. Re - McGregor One word EMBARRASSING End of.
  3. Good to see Dylan McGeough playing again as i thought he had suffered a bad injury Cheers for the excellent report as always
  4. Remember when the Aberdeen fan ran on to attack him. As the guy was being led away Andy says "thank christ i wasn't wearing my sheepskin jacket"
  5. Agree The lowering of ambition and drastic downsizing during the second part of DMs ownership have been shameful Wonder what the greatest Rangers manager of all time would have thought of the quality of some employees both on and off the park at present. We should always aim to employ the very best person for each and every position.
  6. Cheers Any chance of giving team line-up
  7. It depends on what level you are judging WS Rather than the two-team spl i lean toward the euro arena where its not only the top teams (Juventus Ajax Barcelona etc) who generally outplay & tactically outthink us but the smaller teams (Levski Grasshoppers AEK Strasbourg Gothenburg Kaunas & Unirea) As i said previously tactically football changes every few seasons whereas WS doesn't Dont see this changing this season.
  8. Agree 100% On the domestic front WS knows that a good team spirit and rather cautious approach can bring results whereas in the higher quality european arena you need to be tactically astute and have the ability to make game altering changes which is not his style While football has changed in the past 20-25 years i honestly dont think WS has.
  9. Was quoted as saying " when running out for a old firm game i turn towards the celtic end as i get less abuse from them" NOT Kenny Watson.
  10. WS didn't win league in 07/08 so no 100% record Havent got exact figures but think he has spent in excess of £20 million since his return (most of it after the Kaunus fiasco) Just stating the facts.
  11. Re AML- Agree 100% Showed class and dignity at all times Credit to the club
  12. In the spl i think we could play 3 at the back so McGregor Whittaker Bougherra Webster Davis Edu Weiss Naismith/Fleck Miller Jelavic Beattie Bring back fast entertaining football.
  13. During MONs 5 seasons at Celtic we won - 7 out of the 15 domestic trophys,Celtic also won 7. 2 SPL 2 SC 3 SLC Reached last 16 in Champions league (MON never did) Not quite as bad as we may think
  14. You might be thinking of Iain McDonald who was highly regarded in the early 70s but suffered a bad injury
  15. Spot on mate We must never return to our previous spending patterns in which our clubs very existance is being gambled with by those with their hand on the tiller. Financial stability and a long term buisness model should be the No1 priority.
  16. Derek Johnstone had a perm when he went to the 78 World Cup.
  17. Happier with AJ and LBG calling the shots. Running the club in a professional manner which DM failed to do. We'll come out of this stronger and leaner, better prepared for the future. Living within our means is something that needed to be done.
  18. Definitely not John "Polaris" McDonald Re - that programme v Morton Was at the game 4-0 attendance 4,800 We think things are bad now.
  19. Thought of him or Derek Strickland but they were both younger looking
  20. Having second thoughts myself. Think you are right with Alex Forsyth.
  21. Have to say my initial thought was that it is Jim Denny. BTW Denny was still with us in season 78-79. Played in 6-3 Scottish cup victory over Dundee.
