  1. I would have no hesitation in playing Jamie Ness alongside Davis in midfield this season.
  2. Under any other manager they would have done Yet in the short period of time they did get they appeared confident and in no way looked out their depth. All they need is a manager who believes in them. Under any other manager as in... One with a decent sized squad and with some youth capable of performing on the big stage? Walter knows what hes doing. Having a small squad makes it more important to give the younger players experience in a season when he may be forced into using them Did you think any younger player looked any worse than the men they replaced? WS would rather move a more experienced player into a foreign position and in the process upset the balance of the team than show faith in a youngster Always has done Always will do.

  4. Why? Surely the very least we should expect from our club is that all employees are of the highest possible calibre From the CEO to the ticket office. From the boardroom to the catering From the Coaching staff to the club publications. Unprofessionalism - complacency - lack of attention to detail -all seem to be acceptable these days at Ibrox/Murray Park As i said its all about personal standards
  5. Real Madrid. As for us i honestly expect very little under WS.
  6. in your shitey opinion maybe No its an opinion of someone who isn't a negative bastard who constantly criticizes our players like you do. While not speaking on Fleckys behalf i would ask are you satisfied with-The quality of our players The style of football on display most weeks The entertainment value The use of substitutions The tactics employed in europe The reluctance to give youth a chance. If you choose to disagree with the above then maybe you have a lower level of ambitions/standards than i do. Every department in our club should be the very best in their field. To settle for anything else is accepting failure.
  7. Personaly don't think the physical aspect of the game in this country played any part in Aaron Niguez's failure to play regularly for us. Genuinely wanted the boy to succeed but IMO he just never showed enough.
  8. Having seen both Aaron and Fleck on numerous occasions its my opinion that Fleck is/was the more talented player by some distance. As i've said in several other posts if John Fleck is played in his natural position we are going to be watching someone special in the next few years.
  9. Can you really judge a player on a short trial? I'm not too sure on that - very rarely do we sign a player after a trial. Possibly not, but apparently we've been looking at him since before the World Cup. Perhaps they just want to see him at close quarters before making a move. Can't go far wrong for £600k mind. Or is that famous last words? For us in our present position £600k is money that should only be spent if we are 100% sure about any player By inviting him on trial that indicates we're not.
  10. Our second top goal scorer last two seasons, our best utility player, broadfoot and our captain. Were you trying to make some negative point about these players? - all have done excelent service for us in the Smith era. aye, all 4 as "football" players are fucking shite i do love Davie Weir though as bad as he is, Big Kirk i admire his attitude, Kenny, i admire his work rate and Big Lee i really do not like at all. Agree with your assessment although in the case of KB any player who hires a personal trainer to ensure he is in the best physical shape he can be deserves a mention Player with poor technique and limited ability but through hard work and great attitude has represented his country and won medals in all competitions.
  11. Excellent young manager with a bright future ahead . Very impressed by his teams style of football in his three years at Bordeaux Have a feeling he will end up as Alex Fergusons successor at Manchester United.
  12. On STV website as well Seems to be a promising player who has his best years ahead of him. At £600,000 for a attacking left back with international experience this is exactly the type of player we should be targeting.
  13. I would agree, but I think my profile really sums up Kal. It really is up to him to show what he can acheive sometimes it looks like his attitude can let him down. I believe that is proabably the reason he has been left out of Scotland youth squads in recent times. I did comment that seeing him with the captain's armband last night was a wee bit surreal. At one point last night the three Rangers coaches were shaking their heads in frustration. Hopefully the penny will drop and he will progress and really fulfil his potential. IMO his attitude is the main reason he hasn't fulfilled his undoubted potential so far as he can make the game look easy at times, perhaps the captains armband will make him knuckle down and concentrate his efforts on becoming the player both of us think he can be.
  14. This will happen on a more regular basis as both clubs are in the same market for players, between £1-3 million, bosmans, loan deals etc Agents will more often than not alert the media regarding transfers in the hope other clubs become involved thus generating more money for themselves. If we are able to sign Benalouane,Jelovic and perhaps unearth a right winger with pace that would do for me.
  15. Firstly thanks for the report Interesting to see Kal Naismith was the only player to play the full 90 minutes,I really rate this player and should he progress as i expect him to we should be seeing him as a possible first team squad player in 18-24 months.
  16. Having seen him play about 7 or 8 times i would have to say he never stood out as a future first team regular, In Gregg Wylde we could have the answer to our wide-left problem. Pacy, direct, good delivery.
  17. Deflect & Deny, its the Celtic way.
  18. Having read Gary Ralston's book its great to see our story being given national coverage like this. From such humble beginnings to what we are now. We truly are the peoples club.
  19. I thought Scott Gallagher had gone out on loan to Forfar ?
  20. http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/spl/rangers/rangers-jelavic-bid-fails-to-impress-1.1044142 Both players are young, ambitious, proven track-record & would generate a profitable return in the transfer market(if successful). Exactly the types we should be targeting. Would be delighted to see either one at Ibrox next season.
  21. Whittaker does the exact same thing that you mention, and it is down to poor coaching. Maybe there could be training sessions where they have a no tackling rule, in the hope that positioning is improved? :-D PLG tried the no tackling training sessions for this very reason. Shot down in flames by the Scottish players, former players & ill-informed media alike. Until the Managers/Coaches/Players/Fans in this country place more emphasis on skill, technique & tactics rather than strength, power & "the get stuck in " mentality nothing will change. I agree with you totally. Without doubt, Le Guen made mistakes, but he wasn't helped much by anyone. Murray then bottled it, and threw the baby out with the bath water. Let down by DM and a influential clique of players (all now left our club). He was let down badly by himself too though. Le Guen had the right ideas, but even with the support of DM and key players, probably wasn't the man to enforce them. No doubt PLG made mistakes, although when players whose egos are vastly inflated in comparison to their talent are unwilling/unable to follow the managers instructions and are then backed by DM its no surprise he became dissilusioned .
  22. The bad habits are handed down from one generation to the next. You only need to look at the stick dished out to Hemdani or Clement because they didn't 'get tore in' enough. Guys like Hemdani and De Boer are good examples of players that got berated at times. If you can read the game, and understand positioning, you don't need to get tore in or run about giving the impression of working hard. Pre injury Steven Smith was a fans favourite because he did get tore in, and loved launching into tackles. However most ignore the fact he had to do this because his positioning was poor and he simply had to do it to make up for it. A lot of people see this as giving 100%, others see it as poor coaching. Whittaker does the exact same thing that you mention, and it is down to poor coaching.
