  1. The only thing i disagree with you is re- WS & MB letting DM " down badly" . Who appointed both men to their respective positions of power and then overseen the way they performed as you have correctly highlighted. The man who ultimately makes the decisions of whom to employ should take responsibility for their subsequent actions. Everything else you say i totally agree with especially MB's role in our current state.
  2. DM- Must take 100% of the blame for the position the club finds itself in.He signed the cheques and had his hand on the tiller. Some will say it was ambition while others would call it egotistical but whatever your take on it is now obvious he was gambling with the very future of OUR club. Re MB & WS - It was their jobs to spend(raise) whatever monies they had at their disposal to the best of their ability.Whether this was achieved is a matter of opinion.
  3. Has he given us anything that Greg Wylde wouldn't have with a prolonged run in the team ? Players like Wylde-Ness-Fleck-Hutton etc are the future for us.Given them their opportunity would benefit us long-term rather than loan deals which have little to no chance of becoming permanent.
  4. If we were over confident it could only have been as a result of Celtic's recent performances as ours have been nothing to shout about.
  5. Jamie Ness was the only player we had who lifted his head and attempted a pass that would hurt them. Showed composure on the ball and always tried to be positive. His display is the only thing we can take from a otherwise embarrassing afternoon.
  6. Agree although the lack of clean sheets can be attributed to my previous points. Its not as though teams are cutting through us with Barca-esque one touch passing.
  7. Appreciate the points you make especially re-DW which is a perfectly valid one. The problem i have is this is not anything new under WS as he employed the same tactics(With better players) in his first spell at Ibrox. While we can't risk DW being exposed in Europe the average SPL strikers aren't exactly Usain Bolt.
  8. Said after our euro game last week the time and space we allow our opponents in every game is criminal. Press the ball higher up the park.Don't let players run 30-40 yards unchallenged,Stop crosses coming in from around our box. Its not Barcelona we're playing.
  9. For me the most worrying aspect of our system in europe is the amount of time and space our opponents are afforded in and around our box.Surely by pressing the ball further up the park it would stop the opposition being able to lift their heads and pick a pass. The number of times players in wide areas are allowed to get crosses in is a recipe for disaster as last night proved when a poor Bursapor team were allowed to dictate the majority of the second half eventually leading to a deserved equalizer. Sometimes we dont help ourselves.
  10. Only reason Shields,Wilson,Murray&Pressley played was the three foreigner rule. Only reason Hutton & Cole played was injuries. WS has never shown faith in the youngsters. Probably never will.
  11. Superb example to the younger players of how a pro looks after himself off the field and conducts himself on it. A credit to the club.
  12. If i remember correctly Billy Urquhart played upfront and missed a easy chance at 0-0. Nottingham Forest beat Cologne 4-3 on agg in the semi-final and although they were a very underated team i would have been confident of beating them and then Malmo in the final. The worst thing was both of the teams we had defeated earlier (Juventus & PSV) were superior to Cologne. Opportunity missed
  13. Limited player. Poor technique Poor attitude No Pace No Ambition Give me any combination from Miller-Jelavic-Naismith-Lafferty every time. KB had the opportunity to improve every aspect of his game with us but was unwilling to do so. Has he been missed this season ? NO.
  14. Was at the game v Feyenoord (3-3). Apart from the terrible weather i dont remember much about the game and am pretty sure we beat Ajax 4-0 a few months later. Re Davie Cooper i had the honour of being given a look around the stadium before a home game v Morton in 1984- the tour guide none other than DC Taken from us far too early.
  15. Lazy player with a poor attitude who has no ambition to improve as a pro - avoid at all costs.
  16. If you take the £48 million over 10 years then it is clearly a good deal from a financial viewpoint. However the sight of empty shops with the Rangers signs still above does nothing for the image of the club.
  17. Agree 100% CJ. I think i am right in saying he once tackled the opposition substitute who got too close to the touchline during a european tie abroad. IMHO Bobby Shearer was everything we should look for in a Rangers captain, although i am sure he would have been disgusted with the minutes applause in place of the traditional silence following his passing. Not the Rangers way and a low point in our history.
  18. Seen him a few times. Think we signed him from Celtic. Good passer and doesent mind a tackle either. Decent prospect if he keeps progressing.
  19. Cheers mate The number of times i have said to people his name is Kal not Kai then i post this . Excellent young player with a big future.
  20. Thanks as always. Heard Kal Naismith was a stand out today.
  21. Missed this team by a few years but was brought up on stories of how good they were. How much would they be worth in todays over inflated transfer market.
  22. If Kai Naismith continues to progress as i would hope he could be close to the first team squad within 12-18 months.
