  1. they have really awful taste in music.
  2. Tonel Sporting Lisbon defender Tonel has been strongly linked with a move to Rangers. The experienced Portuguese player's agent has confirmed that Rangers have made enquiries and that Walter Smith tried to secure his services in January. Tonel reportedly likes the idea of a link up with fellow countryman Pedro Mendes. Rangers face competition from a couple of Italian sides for the 29-year-old's signature. Alan Hutton Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is reportedly willing to offer Alan Hutton back to Rangers. Spurs have an abundance of right-backs at the club and Redknapp is eager to trim the squad. The 24-year-old left Ibrox in 2008 but has made just 19 appearances for Tottenham. Andre Bikey Reading defender Andre Bikey is reportedly interesting Walter Smith. The 24-year-old is valued at around £2.5m but Rangers will face competition from Stoke for his signature. The Cameroon international was impressive during his time in the Premier League with Reading and the Royal's failure to regain promotion to England's top-flight means he could be ready to move on. Marlon Harewood Rangers will reportedly offer Marlon Harewood a route out of Villa Park. The 28-year-old struggled to force his way into the first team at Aston Villa after a £4m move last summer. Harewood is also interesting Fulham and Stoke but Walter Smith is hopeful Champions League football will entice the English midfielder north of the border. Chris Brunt Rangers are reportedly lining up a £3m bid for West Brom winger Chris Brunt. Brunt scored a flurry of goals at the end of last season's Premier League, creating quite a bit of interest. Rangers are likely to face competition from Celtic, with Tony Mowbray thought to be interested in linking up with his former player. Brian Stock Walter Smith is apparently lining up a bid for Doncaster midfielder Brian Stock. Valued at around £1.5m, Stock is also being monitored by Birmingham and Wolves. The 27-year-old has scored 14 goals in 97 appearances for Doncaster. Kevin Kyle Kilmarnock striker Kevin Kyle is reportedly interesting Walter Smith (pictured). The 28-year-old had a good scoring record last season and has even been credited with keeping Killie in the top tier of Scottish football single-handedly after his move to the club in January
  3. Would be worth it just for the marketing side of things.....even if we spent a lot of money on four or five yanks, they will have paid for themelves, USA is a massive market to tap into.
  4. who do they play for ? forget them..buy Driver Onyewu - Standard Liege Altidore - Villarreal Davies - Hammarby
  5. I'd sign Davies, Kljestan, Onyewu, Donovan, Adu..... The latter 2 are probably out of our reach, but even the other three would be too steep if we were to buy them all. Some people need to realise that the vast majority of any money coming in will go to service Minty's debts.
  6. I reckon £1m would secure his signature.... He's only at some Swedish diddies, don't see how he could turn us down.
  7. None are good enough, with the possible exception of Shinnie. Our "youngsters" who are up-and-coming are Wilson, Ness, Wylde etc, the guys you mention are getting into their early 20's and haven't made any mark on the first-team.
  8. I doubt many, if any players will be brought in this season. It's all about servicing the debt. Hope i'm wrong though, as I fear humiliation in the group stages if we don't strengthen.
  9. Goram Jardine Gough Butcher Numan Henderson Baxter Gascoigne Cooper McCoist Brand SUBS: Woods Laudrup Albertz English Hateley Wilkins Caldow
  10. and i mean REALLY realistic, who are definetly within our reach. Morgaro Gomis - Senegal international, would be good for cover, or if one of Mendes/Davis leaves. Sone Aluko - would solve our LM problem and wages wouldn't be an issue, maybe throw Gow into the deal as a makeweight. Andrew Driver - see Aluko Wayne Routledge - currently at QPR, doubt he's on massive wages there, would jump at the chance to play for us. A right winger, which would mean we could move Davis into the centre with one of Thomson/Mendes/Edu. Onyewu - mentioned before, solid stopper, nothing special but reliable enough. Would still rather see Wilson get a chance but that;s never going to happen while wattysaurus is in charge. Sacha Kljestan - another American, watched the game where he scored a hat-trick vs Sweden, was immense. Would bring obvious marketing benefits, as he's one of the most high-profile players on the USA national team, and with Beasley, Edu and him here maybe more Americans would start to sit up and take notice of us, rather than just blindly following a top-four EPL team. It's not hard, Walter, and none of the players above would cost an arm and a leg. They would probably cost a bit, but nothing outrageous, and if they help us do well in Europe then they will have paid for themselves. Speculate to accumulate
  11. No. Would rather Wilson or McMillan got a regular game than this guy.
  12. I'd rather we went for someone younger like Driver or Aluko. Proved themselves in this league, and wages wouldn't be as big either.
  13. think this might be someone taking the piss. but if not, then welcome.
  14. Pennant turned down Real Madrid because they wouldn't match his wage demands........
  15. Not fussed about Onyewu, but Pantelic would be great. Him and that Chilean lad
  16. Has he not signed permanently for AC? I don't keep track.
  17. "sourced - wikipedia" an oxymoron if ever i saw one.
  18. we have no money to buy fullbacks, or any players for that matter. i don't see how we can get anyone better than Papac or Whittaker within our budget.
  19. Kal Naismith from the u19s looks an excellent winger. It's easy to say "go out and buy Driver" or whoever, but it's not going to happen. In an ideal world i'd like it to, but we'll not be spending much, if anything. Murray said there would be more emphasis on young players, so I don't see the harm in bringing through a 17/18 year-old. Isn't that part of Murray Park's purpose?
  20. Whittaker would get a game before Bardsley. Beasley, Naismith and even Fleck would get a game before Martin. So no.
  21. Exactly what i thought 97 to 03 is 6 years. Hope the big man does well. Didn't realise how good he was until he left us Think a bit of the old revisionism creeps in with big Amo. Undoubtedly a great Ranger, but he could be a fucking bombscare at the best of times.
  22. I'd like to see this on our shirt: Instead of the current RFC crest.
  23. Would rather see younger ones like Wylde, Ness, Wilson and Hemmings break through. Lowing and Lennon are both 21, doubt they'll make it now.
