NFL generally starts in September and recently has begun to end in February. As soon as the NFL season ends, the next thing is the Oscars. That may sound random, but that is what I usually know when the Oscars would be next. Right after the Super Bowl.
Back to NFL, the Combine will come up where all of the NFL teams' scouts and coaches will be evaluating the college talent in preparation for the NFL Draft near the end of April, 2012.

Didn't realize this thread had been moved to OT as it had been in the General Sports and Football forum for a long time. It is actually classified as a general sports thread. However, this thread is getting close to 1,000 replies. In a way, I notice that there are a few more posters who just posted in this thread as they do not normally go to the General Sports and Football forum which is another good thing.
If I recall from watching some games from the last Women's WC and watching some of this year's, the 2011 Women's World Cup is exciting and more successful than the last one. Very good matches, really.

I'm so glad the US women kept fighting and scored to make it a 2-2 game. Then penalty shootout. Wowowow. BD is right that this has to be one of the best games US women's team has ever played. Will have to be very sharp against Maxou's France.

I have watched England's two games and I expected more from them tbh. New Zeland could have been 3-0 at one point, I felt they deserved at least a draw. Its looking fairly likely that they will have to face Germany in the next round, they will really need to up their game for that match

Delparlane's St. Louis seems to be doing good against San Diego right now in the third quarter. The Rams have to watch out for Philip Rivers though.

I am not offended, but I have known for a long time that Baylor should be in another conference. Baylor's Board of Regents think otherwise and are more interested in $$$. The administration wants Baylor to be a top-tier one and has had created some animosity between themselves and the alumni. Baylor Alumni Association was asked by the Baylor administration to drop its independence and cede control to the University.

TG, prior to the UT-Mizzou game, I was hoping Mizzou would beat the Horns, but I wasn't surprised by the result. I was not even surprised by Baylor's loss to Okie Lite (Oklahoma State University) yesterday. From now on, the Bears will have a tough, tough, tough hurdle down the stretch as they will host the Nebraska Cornhuskers next Saturday. I feel that Baylor needs to be in a different conference.
Well, my focus is now on the Baylor men's and women's basketball teams.
