It's clearly not worthy of this hysteria but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried after seeing the way Rangers played today. Signings must be made and they must be of the right quality to win games like this one today. Jelavic had no service all day and Naismith just wasn't strong enough to partner him up top. Bougherra couldn't give a fuck. He really couldn't. He fell asleep in the first half when the ball was 2 yards in front of him. I've no idea what was going on in his head - well, probably that move to Manchester United that he's dreaming about. Get Cuellar and Juhasz in, then get Broadfoot as far away from the first-team as possible. As for Whittaker, Templeton has had him in his back-pocket every time he's played against him, plus he's a good player. Edu can fuck off. People will say that he had one of his 'better' games today but it still wasn't good enough. He shits out of every challenge and looks scared to even attack the ball with his head. McCulloch didn't do much better and their performances were only worsened by the fact that they were stuck in the middle together. Two defensive-midfielders Ally? Really? Get Davis in the centre and start Wylde from the start out on the left and move Ortiz onto his stronger foot, although I don't disagree with playing him on the left. Davis deserved his MOTM and it was obvious he wanted the win. It's only one game, but it's blatantly clear for all to see that Rangers need additions to win this league. I trust Ally and I expect him to bring in the right faces: a striker, a left-winger, a real defensive-midfielder to partner Davis with a bit of dig, and two centre backs. Sadly, I can't see us strengthening to that extent. We need quality.
